    Hi Chris! I’m trying to ride more endurance rides over 100 miles and I’d like to get a proper bike for that (current bike Dogma F10, perfect but not for long endurance days). I tested Caledonia and was impressed with geometry and how well it rolls. But the bike shop is recommended Aspero as it might be a better bike for those long endurance days and if I ever decide to go gravel, no problem there. Is Aspero as fast as Caledonia? I can’t wait to try Aspero. Thanks in advance.

    • @ChrisHallRides
      @ChrisHallRides  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, If you're looking for an endurance focused bike then the Caledonia is the one to go for. It's a more relaxed geometry than the Aspero. You can also fit some gravel tyres on the Caledonia as it has clearance for measured 35mm tyres.

    Amazing looking bike, I only have a gravel bike and been riding 40mm tires all year (mostly due to the roads around here being SO bad!). It is equipped with 105 so I wonder how much of a difference a 2x make considering the efforts and climb yesterday? Would you consider riding a 2 two internal gear rear hub? I also ride with lights pretty much all year round.

    I know this is an older video but I had to comment: I'm about to order an Aspero-5 frameset and have a local bike shop swap over all the GRX components from my current gravel bike to the Aspero-5 - except, I'm going with Ultegra crankset instead (50/34). Still undecided though on the color - i love both the lime/chameleon color, as well as that purple sunset. Only thing I'm wondering about is if the stem that comes with a size 54cm frame is the right size for me (currently I run 90mm). How was the fitment for you when you put this bike together (meaning, did you need to make many adjustments?) What size frame is that?
    Also, my goodness those roads (and music) are both so dreamy.

The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
