Hello, hope you are doing well now. Im a middle school student and your AMV has helped me focus on my studies for the past weeks. I cannot express in words how well combined this amv is. Upbeat enough to vibe to, not too noisy to lose focus, and the scenes are family friendly (considering the NGE/EoE series’ content, so I can watch this at home without my parents judging). Just now made the connection that Asuka reaching for the AI Eva's at her death is the last thing she sees before reaching for Shinjis face when she wakes up
@@rhyswerner1748 well when she wakes up on the beach, she only reaches out to him after he chokes her for like a minute ... so i don't think the metaphor necessarily goes that far, it's a bit ambiguous and subtle ... i think it just connects her last living moments to Shinji and emphasizes how she has finally dropped her guard for him ... pre-Eclipse she reaches out to the AI Angels with the fury of war in her heart, but post-eclipse she reaches out to Shinji for the sake of finally wanting peace and accepting her part of the equation
I've come to re-think this .. both Shinji and the Seele Evas are attacking Asuka, and she reaches for both .. with the Evas she reaches out with courage to fight back, with Shinji she finally yields with courage to give him a moment of reprieve and honesty
I just gotta say, all those shots from 1:00 to around 1:30, nearly every single one of them looking upwards at different angles, (except the characters are looking down,) there's just something about it puts this entire world of Eva into a perspective I don't think I've ever quite felt before.Everyone and everything is at stake. Even the most forgettable of the Angels, any one could wipe out humanity. In a world of confusion, hurt, and loneliness, every last human is betting everything on these ununstable lab freaks operated and commanded by humans equally unstable themselves. It gets said in the show, sure, but at times it gets so character-focused that you rarely truly feel it the way that your specific collection of shots captures. It's helplessness. Comparable to looking up at 01 eating Zeruel in the show, but also an inverse. This is helplessness, sure, but with hope (or in other words, a type of trust.) You know that somewhere on that Earth, in Japan or Germany or America, there are Kensukes just for the Evas themselves. People who love and believe in a machine and person that will save you despite you never meeting either. Hope found within despair, and the irrationality of love. if that doesn't capture Eva I don't know what does.
I love how this guy casually on a Friday morning back in summer 2022 dropped the greatest Evangelion amv edit ever made that perfectly captures the emotion you feel while watching it And it was their first ever amv

Somehow this video got into my phone three months ago. I like Kate Bush, so i gave it a try and wow! - the music and that strange footage from some anime gave me goosebumps. The series, EoE, rebuilds, etc, then read many more info. So, thanks to this AMV, I'm now 3 months into being an Evangelion fan.

From the first second of the first episode of the series I was hooked and after a long day of work I was glued to my couch the ending was incredible, when I watched the end of Evangelion a while after (last month) I was in awe these masterpieces are stuck with me Misato Katsuragi is obviously a favourite character
