I also love how Dimash still chose to use a handheld microphone instead of one that you can attach to your jacket and clothes like Zarina did . I just love his style with the mic and all his mic techniques.

The more I watch Dimash performances, as singer, the more my weird brain cannot help but associating his performances to the unique job Tatiana Maslany, as actress, has done playing six main clones charachters and five more i think, in the tv show Orphan Black. She was so credible that I constantly and totally forgot that all theese characters are played by the same actress. Dimash gives me the same feeling, he can easily switch between styles and tones that's sometimes i have to keep in mind that is't still him to sing! How Amazing!

This was a beautiful collaboration and full production. I always love Dimash’s voice and sometimes worry whether I will appreciate another vocalist while duetting, but this was a well balanced duet. I agree with you on Zarina’s lower register - the upper notes felt a tad shrill, but I suspect it was the vibrato that made it so. Overall, wonderful production and beautiful dress. (Would have liked to have seen Dimash’s face while he played piano at the beginning though.)

I really like this performance - it's such a big production! Watching this and some of the Chinese variety shows lately, I realize how magnificent the productions are - lights, water, video, everything! We just don't have shows like this in this country.

Zarina's voice is epic to me in this. Will be interesting to see your take on the syncing and if such a small mic would even work that well(when it premiers tomorrow). Live or not voices are great and fun performance. Also hope you have plans to do Nella Fantasia by Park Ki Young. What a voice and performance she has and she's apparently a rock singer mostly. Have really only heard that one but it's something. So Hyang smooth tones and strangely enough apparently great friends.
I think I've seen mics that small used for musical theatre performances. I know nothing about mics but I don't know why that one wouldn't be good enough. Also, opera singers pitch their voices or sing loud enough that they don't usually need mics, so maybe she doesn't need the same type of mic? I could be talking out of my butt lol but I do think I've seen those little mics in videos of musicals, at least.
This was a HUGE event for Kazakhstan. It is the opening of the Winter Universiade Games where multi millions of pounds was spent on construction of new buildings/airport terminal etc. It was broadcast to a huge number of countries around the world hence the out-of-sync singing - also Dimash played the piano at the beginning & his voice is apparent in the backing track. Zarina, I believe, was studying at the Guildhall School of Music in London at the time. It’s a fantastic song for the opening of a major sporting event ‘if you win or you lose, it’s a question of honour’. Plymouth UK 🇬🇧

This is one of my fave Sarah Brightman songs. What a truly beautiful rendition I saw her on her Harem World Tour, twice, because the first time I was so blown away by the stage production.

I really like this performance - it's such a big production! Watching this and some of the Chinese variety shows lately, I realize how magnificent the productions are - lights, water, video, everything! We just don't have shows like this in this country.

Zarina's voice is epic to me in this. Will be interesting to see your take on the syncing and if such a small mic would even work that well(when it premiers tomorrow). Live or not voices are great and fun performance.
Also hope you have plans to do Nella Fantasia by Park Ki Young. What a voice and performance she has and she's apparently a rock singer mostly. Have really only heard that one but it's something. So Hyang smooth tones and strangely enough apparently great friends.
I think I've seen mics that small used for musical theatre performances. I know nothing about mics but I don't know why that one wouldn't be good enough. Also, opera singers pitch their voices or sing loud enough that they don't usually need mics, so maybe she doesn't need the same type of mic? I could be talking out of my butt lol but I do think I've seen those little mics in videos of musicals, at least.

This was a HUGE event for Kazakhstan. It is the opening of the Winter Universiade Games where multi millions of pounds was spent on construction of new buildings/airport terminal etc. It was broadcast to a huge number of countries around the world hence the out-of-sync singing - also Dimash played the piano at the beginning & his voice is apparent in the backing track. Zarina, I believe, was studying at the Guildhall School of Music in London at the time. It’s a fantastic song for the opening of a major sporting event ‘if you win or you lose, it’s a question of honour’. Plymouth UK 🇬🇧

But in my opinion, he is outsung by Zarina in this duet.
