Thank you Billy for helping us understand how the spring masher works. Another very good informative vlog Mandee for some us that's fans of dirt track racing.
I sure hope Billy and Sr and Mike come up for the Fonda 200 this year. Here is why. Mike always good on long distance runs- besides by then he'll be even better at Fonda. We all know Billy has gotten a LOT better/comfortable with the track and may actually LIKE it at this point. I know he was pleased with his last run there. And Sr? Ran there regularly years ago....in Firecracker hot laps 2 years ago ran same laps as Stewart, but didnt come up for the 200 due to prior committments. I feel Sr gave money away but I understand the prior obligation thing. I think all 3 can Top 10 it at the 200 with Stew as the favorite, Mike top 5, Billy top 10 and Sr Top 3 with a great shot to win. He's that good there.
Nice I’ve been needing to see how to use a spring smasher, nice I’m saving this vlog to use for reference in the future, thanks you billy , and mandee, love you tech advice and vlogs thanks BigAl California.
i know this is months later but need to ask anyways. the smasher and the load stick are digital measuring, yet you measure the c/c on the car with a yard stick (tape measure). why wouldn't you use a long stroke digital calipers? seems a distance of .050" could make a measurable difference in the spring load. am I wrong?
Very interesting! Love these behind the scenes episodes!
