- On my way to feed the cats, I met a bird on the way. It was so smart bird. She approached me without any fear as if she knew me and she played with me.

@@miriambucholtz9315 Hi Miriam, what I never guess is that they can be so friendly, but again, we are in Turkey with this Channel. The people are culturally kind to animals and put out food for them. In the United States magpies are known for taking offense and forming permanent grudges against people and "divebombing" them them relentlessly when they show their faces on the street. But you ask these people and it turns out that when they were a kid they threw rocks at the Magpies and then the Magpies would Alert on them and the fledgling Magpies would take note of the "Enemy" and alert also. A person would have to move out of town to get away from the Curse of the Magpies. But in Turkey it is just the opposite and apparently the Magpies have some kind of Reverse Alert, some signal that means "Friend of Magpies", maybe just simply the approach of a Magpie into vulnerable distance is the signal to all other Magpies that such a person can't be anything other than a Friend.
@@leovolont I would love to live there. I love animals and frankly, I prefer their company to that of people. It makes sense that they would identify and attack an enemy. Too many people don't credit birds with the intelligence that they have. The only time I remember any difficulty with birds was when my mother was hanging out the wash and bluejays dive bombed her. They must have had a nest nearby. I learned to pay attention to such things.
@@miriambucholtz9315 Yeah, Miriam, Blue Jays are in that same Family. Your mother once pissed off a Blue Jay... or any bird that will Alert on an enemy. I once noticed something 50 years ago when I was in College and would pull all nighters and then go for morning walks to catch the sunrise, that the Song Birds of all Species would would be doing their singing BUT IN ORDER, and they would use triangulation and timing (sound travels so far each second and if a birds answers at a precise time after hearing the last call that triggers his own, then every bird that calculates the interval between the two calls knows their distance from the other two birds). But when a Magpie, Crow, or Bluejay (birds that Call instead of Whistle or Sing are known for raiding Song Bird nests for Eggs or to eat the chicks.... nature gave them a harsh voice to set them off as Demons as far as other birds perceive them. So the Songbirds will Alert whenever an Enemy Caller Bird comes on the scene, as a kind of a Collective Defense. But the Call Birds have their own Enemies and I suppose they work Collectively also with the other Caller Birds and maybe the Song Birds also. Oh, they didn't have the Internet back then and so it took a few decades before I found that what I hypothesized had actually been studied and that I was right. And I was able to think that stuff up without any sleep.

I love this, and the fact this bird was not showing any fear is amazing, and is just playing with you like an animal owner playing with their pet!!! great relationship with animals where the meow meow people live. where i'm from cat disappears long before you can even get 5 meters from him. the only fearless animals we have are city pigeons. and man's best friend.

Stephen, yes I just looked in my familiar birds of north America, and didn't see it in there. It looks like a crow, but our crows are all black. It sure was tame, though..I hope it can fly. How cute, even the birds trust her.

They do eat a lot! I feed my local crow group, there's 7 birds, and together they eat 60+ peanuts for breakfast! I always put a lot of food and they just keep eating. They have big appetites. 😛
