    Thank you so much! It was very important for me to see an unboxing before ordering my set. Now, I know I'm in the clear! :)

    If Bose releases a trade in program I will definitely be getting them since my A20s we're purchased a couple months ago and have barely worn them because I haven't flown much but if they don't I don't see how I could justify spending another $1,250 for what seems to be more of an update than an upgrade. Great video by the way!

      Thanks! The A20s are rock solid headsets. We've had some of ours since 2012. We agree, it is more of an update vs. a massive upgrade. ANC is similar, clamping force is less, weight distribution is shifted a bit. Not sure if they'd do a trade in program, possibly later this year. If they do we may do a quick video for our subscribers.

    I just upgraded due to change of aircraft and needing 5 pin XLR.
    The A30’s seem a lot more plasticy. The metal rings and band protect the old a20’s significantly. I’m 99% confident the a30’s will aesthetically wear out a lot quicker then the a20’s due to no “wear shields”
    I also can’t believe they didn’t recess the volume sliders more. Drives me insane how easily they adjust by rubbing on the seat, circuit breaker panel etc. every time you take it out of the case, your chasing different volumes between the headset and the aircraft and or one ear is low and the other high. No reason it needs to be so easily adjusted.

      great calls on those vol adjusters, and time will tell if build quality can handle lots of use/abuse.

    It’s always nice to watch a new product being critiqued. I’ve got the A20 and have the new A30 to be delivered soon. When I’ve taken folks up, I had to rent a headset. Now, I’ll have another quality headset pass down for my passengers. I’m excited about this next gen headset.

      Thanks Ed for the comment. We have a few other A30 videos, as well as my article in Twin & Turbine: www.twinandturbine.com/bose-a30-aviation-headsetnew-features-comfort-focus/
      You will like the A30 and let us know your thoughts. Rich and Tigre

    Very nice looking those A30s are. Wonder if they have features such as CO monitoring etc.

      No, none of the safety wearables that Lightspeed Delta Zulus have. We're working on some unboxing and test videos of those headsets and will be releasing them soon, and also comparing them with the A30s.

      And yes, the sleeker design is very much welcome!

    What about the durability? Looks in general better than the a20 but worried about the material. Will receive mine soon.

      The durability should be equal or better than the A20. The headband is smoother and we like the new cushion. The ear cushions are the same. With new electronics, etc. it should last a long time. Enjoy your new headset.

    how about the weight? is the a30 lighter?

    • @PersonalWings
      @PersonalWings  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The published weights for the A20 and A30 are 12 oz and 14.2 oz respectively. The weight distribution on the A30 is different - more lower on the earcups. We find them more comfortable - after 50 hours testing them.
