I’ve had the FX6 for 2 years now. I agree with all you have said regarding fitting, sound quality, range and battery life. The only issues encountered are that the usb doesn’t fit as well as it used to and will likely determine the useful life of the unit. The FX 8 appears to address the only other niggle which is using comms while listening to music or nav. I’ll definitely buy Fodsport again.
Hey Mark, thanks for the reviews. I Was also considering the Lexin B4FM, but leaning towards a Fodsports fx8/8air/8 pro. Acknowledging the price differences and pairing capabilities of each, what are your thoughts on: - slight bulkiness of the newer Air and Pro over the fx8; does it stick out too much - micro usb charging of the rx8 - bit slow compared to the other two with usbc - the base unit of the fx8 bracket - any advantages of this design over the other two that dont have this - any other noticeable differences in function, ease of use, connection stability.... Many thanks....
Hi I've used them all but the one I use on a regular basis for 2 years or more now is the fx8 ...the sound quality is excellent and I've not had a single issue with it Best wishes mark
First of all, thank you for your patience. So, we will listen to music from our mobiles and when we start to talk, the music will stop automatically. At the same way, when we stop talking, the music will come back also automatically. Is that right?
Hi not much difference tbh...the air is cheaper but the pro has slightly better sound quality... personally I'd go for the air because even their low end models have excellent sound quality Best wishes mark
hi. I bought FX8 pro. It's really good. Super clear sound... I have a question. Can I share music and have the intercom on at the same time? I can share music, but I can't at the same time with the intercom. I want to share music and have the intercom on at the same time. do it? thanks for the advice.
I like the look of these. My son now comes with me on my bike and we are using some old freedconn intercoms to talk to each other. They are fine but we want to listen to music too at the same time which isnt possible on the ones we have. Can you run both on this system?
Hi Mark first of all thank you for the review I purchased a FX8 pro and I have a mt 07 with a Yoshimura straight through exhaust it is quite loud it drowns out the speaker volume so I have a question you said the fodsports M1 s pros speakers were alot louder do you reckon you could use the M1 s speaker wiring loom with the mic and connect it into the FX8 pro thanks...
Hi yes I can hear a ringtone when I have music playing but it's quite faint ... the music volume does reduce a bit but it's sometimes easy to miss when you are riding. Overall a good intercom though Best wishes mark
Hi mark, i had a the ms1 plus. Had pblm with "ok google". How is the ok google fonctionnality ? How is the sound quality and volume compare to ms 1 plus ? Regards and nice job.
Just bought this my Question is to pair with another brand like you did do you have to disconnect phone bluetooth from fod sport 8 pro or just pair it without losing phone Bluetooth?
Thanks Mark for perfect review... i have a question.. on intercom mode ist it clear to hear your passenger over 120 -150 km/h ? Or what is the speed limit to talk and hear clearly with your passenger or other rider?
Hi jimmy ...I've not tried the fx10 but all fodsports are good 👍 Personally I'd go for the fx8 or pro because the rotary dial is so convenient My fx8 is still perfect after 3 years Cheers mark
Hi Keith it's worth paying the bit extra for the pro...they pair up a bit easier and the sound quality is a bit better ...plus a few other extra features Best wishes mark
Ha, i have a question. When i try and connect fx8 air to my phone it works well, but when i want to connect to another fx8 Air from my partner and my phone the phone connecttion doesnt work. Do you have any idea how to fix that?
Hey, nice review! I read at manual they say this: if you have 2 unit's for you and your passenger, you hear music and you can have a dilogue with your passenger automatically, without pressing any button and without give voice comand. You try something like that? How exactly does that work? And something else. When they said "hearing music and intercom same time" they mean muaic from where? From radio? From your phone? This future works always and how? Thank you

@@giocharizo no, on these, if you both have the same unit it drops the volume of the music and you can talk over the tunes, once you disconnect the intercom the music will return to full volume 👍🏻

hello, thank you for the great review. me and my friend have de fx8 pro. now we have a problem. when talking the connection is terrible within 100 meters connection will be lost. i know that there are 2 bluetooth modules in it. are we doing something wrong? Is that possible? Like to hear from you.
This looks pretty good Mark at the price so would it pare to a satnav or is it just to phones ? , if just to the phone then I will just use that for navigation instead of going down the satnav route . Certainly going to check this out 👌👍

I’ve got the 6 but not used for comms yet. What’s the issue?
Mark what do you prefer the Fx8pro or Fx10C?
I’ve got one of their models and for the price I can’t complain does the job for £60
