4:01 As someone who met JiU in person at even a fraction of the time shown in this video... I can tell you all right now that JiU's aura is NO JOKE. I don't know how insomnicsy handled it to be honest. Her visual is legitimately out of this world its not even funny. It's not just about pretty-ness with her: she has the energy that just is so overwhelming haha. The label "born-to-be-idol" is very, VERY apt for her.
Jiu gave her the "I'm so proud of you" mom look, I dunno how Kit didn't just die on the spot. 😂

Ok so you know what? Anyone else commenting on this video can tell you how awesome you are for the fandom, etc. I want to add a different, more rare perspective.
Most people watching this video probably don't remember/weren't around for the times before this channel. But being an international Somnia in those times was SO hard. There were basically only the 7dreamsubs translated Deukae's Note videos and hardly any other content for us. And there were about 6 regulars in the comments sections speaking English. We had parasocial relationships with not just the idols but the other fans too lmao.
Now we get to engage with and congregate around a channel with 80 thousand subscribers. Of course there are other English servicing fan channels now, but none uploads as frequently or has brought together as many Somnies as you. It is SO much better and more enjoyable to stan Deukae now that we have Insomnicsy videos to find each other. So as someone who remembers what it was like not to have that, I truly thank you for your service to our fandom.
Edit: also because the fandom is so big now, the actual Dreamcatcher channel videos - while they do have English subs now - do not have comments sections that are great for socializing with other Somnies, because basically all of the comments are the same few copypastas praising the members (you know the ones; they really hit different in OOTD era 💀). Insomnicsy comments sections aren't like that, only the most intellectual of Somnies come here (I'm only half joking lol)
Becoming an insomnia in fly high era, I remember holding onto the few content creators so hard, especially for subbed vlives and dreamcatcher's notes, and also feeling a little sad to see so many channels coming and fading through time. It's heartwarming to see how far they've come and how much they've developed as people together, but I also feel a little weird about the growing copypastes, a bit of toxic fans picking for fandom fights, and people constantly concerned over them losing their "real sound" before every release. Our only concern used to be about making them proud (and fair line distribution, cause Gahyeon and Dongie's 2 sec lines were not it lol)
@@Ana-sq1ie yeah it does feel as tho the fandom has lost a little of its identity since it's become so much larger, but that's just kind of inevitable. One price of success.
Omg, this just made me realize that I became a Somnia before this channel existed... that's crazy. I joined during Piri era. I've relied on this channel (and Dreamcatcher's ofc) for updates ever since Kit created it!
I agree with you, both of you, about losing our identity somewhat. I remember how much quieter and closer things were in 2019, I can't imagine how much quieter it was before then. It was hard to find subbed content. I'd scroll far and wide for English comments... now I can find English comments easily, but they're like/comment farms and copypastas. I'm happy that Deukae has finally reached "mainstream enough to get botted" status. I'm happy that the comment sections on their music videos feel like any other group's comment section because that means Deukae is more known now than before. But moving away from underground has definitely been jarring lol

Honestly, I'm a fan of Dreamcatcher because of you. Compiling all the clips and choosing them so carefully makes them seem so much more entertaining and charismatic. I know they are actually like that but the way you find all the right clips and put them together makes them seem even more like that.
