It's only with the help of humanity that they managed to defeat it. If the rumors about Ultraman Trigger is true and it actually sets in the same universe, I hope Tsuburaya would have the finale the same as Ultraman Tiga and Ultraman Dyna.
My childhood DIED when TIGA DIED, not because of stupid sentimentalism, but because i had to take a flight after the First part of the battle and i Lost the show's ending after that. God damn, Gatanozoa is terrifying. Two finisher attacks and nothing, not a scratch! Feels like Tiga could blast at it for ages and make no progress at all. It's likely 10 times Tiga's weight too. A titanic foe even for titans of light.

Yeah, I mean, plenty of kaiju/sejin have defeat ultramen before. Gantanoza was the final boss of the show so it does make sense for Tiga to be destroyed at first.

Plus it seemed to have an infinite amount of tentacles/pincers to restrain a potential opponent. And that dark smoke is physically harmful to beings of light. It also wipes out the advanced human civilization 30 million years ago in the neo frontier universe, by covering the world in darkness.

@@wakpijor1368 i agree, the classic were fine, but they didn't really age well. The effects were meh and you could obviously tell it's fake 99% of the time. The story on the other hand is pretty good, especially UltraSeven, Taro and Leo. But other than that, the other series barely had any unique events in the story and was just the same cliché "attack team found monster, kill monster" everytime. During the heisei era, the writing of the franchise really improved and all of them were actually unique. No hate on showa era, i still prefer it over new gen and reiwa anytime. It just aged really badly is all. The heisei era is the perfect combination of story and special effects, especially post cosmos.

He wasn't even close. You know the guy in the underground base who said "Impossible. He doesn't have a chance." That guy is literally a prophet, as introduced earlier in the series. It foreshadowed that Tiga would lose the fight. Edit: also, it's been stated that Daigo can only use Tiga to half the potential of the original Tiga, so if he could use the full potential, he would have stood a good chance.

Well many monsters do have immunity to special abilities, like Ace Killer to Metallium Beam. Gatanozoa's weight is 200000t, Tiga's is 44000t.
