FYI...we filmed this video back in April 2020, so the release information is obviously inaccurate.

I watched it and don’t understand why it’s classified as horror? It’s more of psychological thriller. She totally Descends into madness. Anyways, great review.

Isn't that type of horror more horrific?
This is a different angle on horror.

I really wanted the back story. What happened in her past, how long has she been unstable, when did the obsession of faith manifest.

I love yall. Its like talking to co workers or colleagues that you really like about a movie that just came out over lunch. Perfect.
On another note it seems to me the film is saying that god/ religion is a form of mental illness. Which objectively is a solid argument.

Great review gents. Just saw this masterpiece and wow! It makes re-watches even better. Rose Glass and Ben Fordesman (DP) knocked it out of the park and Morydd Clark nailed the performance to a T. I love depressing films like this.
Pro Tip: You guy's should get a 3.5mm audio mic. RODE brand makes some really good compact ones. It would bump up your review talk that much better. Cheers!

Rose Glass impressively creates a never-ending atmosphere of anxiety in her feature directorial debut, #SaintMaud. A psychological study about the deterioration of a nurse's mental health because of her Roman Catholic religious beliefs. The shuddersome ending is quality.

I guess the question I have here is why anyone would hire an individual who was found covered in blood of her last patient. How would one maintain that profession after murdering your last boss? It's interesting how you guys kinda glossed over that.🤔

I think she was able to work in the agency under a different name. Joy, the nurse she worked before, called her Katie. Maybe she changed her name to Maud.

She didn’t murder her last patient. She cracked the patient’s ribs while performing CPR which is not uncommon according to nurses and medical professionals. The death of the patient is what causes Maud to spiral into her religious delusions because she is riddled with guilt. She first sees the cockroach 🪳 at the beginning of the movie while she is sitting in the corner staring at her patient’s body. She then sees that same roach when she hears the voice of God in her bedroom before she goes off the deep end.
Side Note: There are some people who refuse to perform CPR at the scene of accidents for just that reason that they might injure a person even more or possibly kill them. Bystanders have been sued for doing CPR and injuring or killing the injured party.

There’s so much great content you guys review and I’d love to hear your opinion on but I get hindered by also wanting to keep the element of surprise for when I see the film on my own. Just a suggestion, nothing hostile here. Keep up the great work!

How this film has so many positive reviews is beyond me. Utter garbage from start to finish. Not in the least bit scary, poor acting, dull storyline, awful CGI(especially the cartoon angel wings) and daft plot twist ending. More of a fantasy flick than a horror. Don't waste your time.
