sidereal energy has also a chance to drop finishing clown and brel raid(and akkan i suppose)so it's possible to obtain all the 98 sidereal energy required as a f2p but it requires a lot of time and a LOT of luck.not talking about the insane amount of life skill mats you will need..to me the appeal of these weapons are the sidereal skills you obtain at lv 6, but by the time you obtain lv 6 as a f2p ,akkan will be here and you would be behind once again.

TLDR: You can do it for free, but it will take almost 2 years, if you play a full 6 roster at 1560+ Edit: To make it in under 2 years, you will need to have a full roster at Thaemine HM level (ilvl 1620?). Assuming Thaemine materials will be exchangeable at 100:1 aswell That would be 90 essence. 8 missing for +8. However, Smilegate had talked about increasing to +10 sometime ago, iirc. That's probably another 100 essence total hahaha

at the same item lvl, if it is Esther 5 (so 1600) it´s actually worse than ur normal weapon. As far as i know the weapon power of the esther weapon is much, much lower than the normal weapon. At +6 it changes cause you get the esther skill as well.
Even at max, it's miniscule. That's why it's just know as a flex/status symbol. You can get just as much power increase, by collecting all the cards and getting the "damage against demon increase". One of those two, is actually free, just tons of RNG for the right cards. The other, cost the price of a brand new BMW.
If they want to die on the hill with Esther as whale weapons then so be it. Its balancing mess if they decide to make it obtainable by f2p literally future raids are forced to scaled to Esther weapon.
You do not need to complete g6 to have a chance. A friend of mine got it from clown this week (still working on the Brel prog), it’s so expensive to list he doesn’t even have the gold lol
