In my personal experience, I wear my 90s a LOT heavier than yours from what I can tell. Mine were caked in mud and even if I washed off the thick chunks, it was stained brown and the laces were dirty ash. I had the BEST results I’ve ever seen with heavy scrubbing with dish soap and somewhat hot water. After this, I scrub heavy with a lot of bleach (be prepared to use a lot), and I soak the laces in a cup of bleach for about 4-8 hours, or completely whitened. You can scrub however hard with the bleach and I even recommend a second round of it if you can. They will however smell like bleach for 2 weeks, and will take multiple days to dry so keep that in mind. I hope this helps anyone because this was the 3rd time cleaning them within a year and this is the best result I’ve had so far!

Hey I cleaned my air max’s like this with laundry detergent water and the brush but the mesh part turned dark grey and never dried back white. Would throwing them in the wash help with getting the mesh part to be white again? I didn’t want my shoes turning yellow or something weird since I’ve never laundry washed white air maxes before…
It definitely wouldn’t hurt to throw them in the wash. One thing I can say is that it’s not gonna make it worse!

that’s how mine are. the mesh is all dark grey now. it’s progressively got worse over time

Got the same model but the sides are fluffy and i think that a brush will tear them up ? Any suggestions? Should i put them in washing machine?
Mate i spilt whole coffee on front bad. I realised to wear trainers were front in plastic or leather cd easy just wipe. But with fabric such things coffee or mud etc get soaked in. If i had spilt whole coffee on say my old black air max 90s the front wasn't fabric so cd just wiped of. It wouldn't of even soaked in and no stress

pro tip: they sell small mesh zip bags for shoes so theres ot much bulk cloth and they are many holes for water to flow thru and secondly just wash 5 pairs at a time at ur local laundrymat, lastly dry on low to 25 min and let the the rest to air dry

Nice effort, one thing I would try is to soak the shoes with water and detergent for one night. Also maybe using a little bit of Bleach.

Someone spilled a drink on mine and i put them in the washing machine then in the dryer. Now they have a yellow stain. Is there any way i can make them white again?
It might be difficult mainly because they’ve already went through the wash and the stain may be worked into the fabric/material by now. What part of the shoe has the yellow stain?

I have the same shoe. I hardly even wear them. The white foam part of the bottom of the shoe is yellowing. What can i do to fix it

Yes I did. I put a little bit but not too much!

Yes but it might take you longer since the surface area on the toothbrush is a lot smaller!

I have learned only wear trainers were the front isn't fabric. Only buy with plastic or leather st front . I spelt whole latte all over my white air max 90s the stess. So hard to clean as fabric at front. Same things weeks ago stepped in dirty water the marks were staining instant looked like ink. Even with the coffee i was moving my jacket folding so wouldn't touch dirty mds chair. Took my coffee top of and bang nocked it flying i will never know how done this.
In past i had black 90s not fabric at front but leather. Was so easy to wipe dirt if i had spilt coffee on them wd been much easier to clean. Why i bought Stan Smith vegan trainers the fronts u cd just wipe easy. After cleaning trainers last night now water stains at back. Itscraxy coz i thought if get dirty so be it and not worry anymore there trainers but to spill a whole coffee on them etc that's different. Great video man will try this method

If you’re referring to cleaning the shoe, then you can use any rag! What do you mean for cushioning?

Mikey! Great video! I tried cleaning mine triple white air max 90s and the mesh fabric turned yellow.. I left them outside to dry and I was told the sunshine oxidized the white turning it yellow. What do I do now to get the yellow off the mesh fabric and back to white? Pls help 🙏

My girl wanted all white 90s with a gum sole. You have no idea how hard it was to find those Fn sneakers. You'd think they'd be easy to find, nope. Not in women's...
Anyway, she doesn't even wear them much, but the mesh part of them has yellowed. I don't how or why, but they did. I've tried cleaning them with all types of shit... dish detergent, laundry detergent, baking soda, white vinegar... and they're still yellowish. The leather is gleaming, but not the mesh...
I am thinking about trying bleach, but I'm afraid that might make it even more yellow. I haven't tried hydrogen peroxide yet either...
Anybody have any suggestions? Or know how/why the yellowing even happened? It's to the point where she can't even wear them anymore.

@@MirrorInWonderland I just saw your reply... I tried hydrogen peroxide and baking soda a couple times and put them under a grow light I have. That has worked pretty good. Putting them in the sun would work the same, I'm sure.
I was thinking the cause of the problem might be that she doesn't wear socks when she wears sneakers... she refuses to believe that's the problem, but I think it might be. If you don't wear socks either, maybe that's it?? Someone else just commented they used a pressure washer and it worked, so maybe I'll try that next...

How long did you put the shoes in the washer? And did you put it in the dryer or did you let it dry outside?
I didn’t put the shoes in the dryer. I let them air dry in my basement. As for the washer, I just did a normal cycle on cold!

Hey cuz! If you’re looking to do it with household products, try bleach! You’ll have to let it sit under the sun after you apply it and make sure you use plastic wrap to keep the moisture in. If you do this a few times, it’ll get your midsoles looking brand new
