I work at an inpatient recovery center and a patient recommended this band to me. It made my 2020 so much less dreary. I hope he reads this and is still sober.
I was in an inpatient recovery center 2018-2020, Days n Daze definately helped me cope. Counselers hated it but I became a fan in my using and the nihilism I'd developed always just pissed them off till they made me advocate for myself in atheism (btw "recovery" centers hate us lol) but we always loved the chill ladies and gents that just got us through the day, so thanks for just kickin it with assholes like me =P it really means a lot to us.
@@ZombieNinjas666 I'm an atheist too, which makes it difficult to push the whole 12 step thing. I love my job tho. I wouldn't trade you assholes for anything.
I have to say, 3 years 4 months and 3 days later this still hits close enough to home to make me tear up a bit. It took me 16 years of trying to finally get this far. And my reward is how deeply I can feel this song... I'm a brand new fan but you guys are absolutely fantastic. The lyricism and raw tunes are some of the best I've heard in years. Thank you for existing.
Lyrics: I try to be an optimist But my glass is always bone dry So, I gotta fill it up or get high to get by To just try to tiptoe the tightrope This pessimism's a disease With depression and apathy sets in A complete lack of all motivation To reach any goal dig deeper the hole We've dug with distraction and give in to a vice When it's hard to wake up Hard to function Hard to cope Without a six pack a bag of weed Or a bump of coke We've lost autonomy And depleted all our dopamine Now the world does seem a dreary place Devoid of any hope without a vice We poison ourselves and don't think twice About the consequence when the crutches feel so nice When we put band aids on our bullet wounds we Subtract good add vice When we decide to stop Can't go cold Turkey Cause you're left with a brain all out of wack Though it can be a quick hazy Saunter down to rock bottom It's a long road back There ain't no seatbelts on this wagon With every speed bump were launched back To square one where we tell ourselves That well do better tomorrow We tell ourselves promise ourselves that we'll do better tomorrow (I'm not sure that I'll be any better tomorrow) We tell ourselves lie to ourselves that we'll do better tomorrow (I'm not sure that I'll be any stronger tomorrow) We tell ourselves promise ourselves that we'll do better tomorrow (I'm not sure that I wanna wake up tomorrow) Sooner those tomorrows cease to come When you live anchored to a vice
Honestly, this album is a fucking masterpiece. I listen to a lot of music, and since this dropped I've been stuck on it. It speaks to me on so many levels.
Got me tearing up here, thanx this is tough huh? This might be the fight of my life. this song and this whole band has put some feelings i have into their music in the most comforting and supportive way i’ve ever heard. it’s currently 12 am and i am very tired but man do i lvoe this band.
Man...I listened to this song like 6 times and just glanced at the music video while listening, and just now finally watched it in its entirety. I am so glad our kitty friend turned out okay. I was pretty emotionally invested in that little fella. Thanks for the music, much love from Portland.

One of my absolute favorite D-n-D songs ever! "Show Me The Blueprints" Is the best record of the year in my humble opinon. Keep the amazing music coming guys. Love you lots, Frankie Pointless and Vanna Vacant of Spit In My Face Podcast.
this song and video came out at the perfect time. this stuff hits so close to home, i cant even decide the most relatable parts. the whole thing just nails it.
As i chug down yet another beer and smoke half a pack of cigarettes, having just smoked a joint, and being an ex-heroin addict.... this song speaks to me so strongly. It makes me cry sometimes. I love this song so much.
Was in love with Crustfall but the new production was so necessary!!! I love how clear the percussion and bass are in the mix and even the guitars and trumpets had a bump in quality! Keep it up!
Great lyrics. Very pertinent for these times. With depression and anxiety going way up it's definitely easy to fall into relying on crutches. I think people just need hope.
Can't belive you're under FWC now. Started listening to you guy's early this year and absolutly love your music. I'll hope to see you one day in my VATERLAND in Germany xD

So, I gotta fill it up or get high to get by
To just try to tiptoe the tightrope
This pessimism's a disease
With depression and apathy sets in
A complete lack of all motivation
To reach any goal dig deeper the hole
We've dug with distraction and give in to a vice
When it's hard to wake up
Hard to function
Hard to cope
Without a six pack a bag of weed
Or a bump of coke
We've lost autonomy
And depleted all our dopamine
Now the world does seem a dreary place
Devoid of any hope without a vice
We poison ourselves and don't think twice
About the consequence when the crutches feel so nice
When we put band aids on our bullet wounds we
Subtract good add vice
When we decide to stop
Can't go cold Turkey
Cause you're left with a brain all out of wack
Though it can be a quick hazy
Saunter down to rock bottom
It's a long road back
There ain't no seatbelts on this wagon
With every speed bump were launched back
To square one where we tell ourselves
That well do better tomorrow
We tell ourselves promise ourselves that we'll do better tomorrow
(I'm not sure that I'll be any better tomorrow)
We tell ourselves lie to ourselves that we'll do better tomorrow
(I'm not sure that I'll be any stronger tomorrow)
We tell ourselves promise ourselves that we'll do better tomorrow
(I'm not sure that I wanna wake up tomorrow)
