You could easily turn one of these into the classic HUTCH, GT, or SE iconic OG helmets. Right out of the box though, it has that instant "I went back in time" feels to it. I love it. At 149.00 for the most expensive to under 100 in the OUTLET section of their website - You'll find something to match your style. Tag me on Instagram if you do score one! I want to see what you put together.
Great, thorough review, thanks for sharing. Ive been interested in a retro helmet snd even looked into vintage Echo & Bells. Didnt you have an S1 a while back? How would you compare them? I have an S1 and am happy with it - I modded an old echo/troy lee visor to fit and dig aesthetic, and it feels safe for what I do.
Unrelated question, didn't you have a video comparing lower cost freewheels versus more expensive, basically discussing was it worth the upgrade? I swear I saw this video and now I can't find it.
I have a few freewheel videos up. I honestly like the RideOutSupply freewheel because it’s got really high engagement with low drag to slow you down. Most folks will tell you that you need a profile or white. It’s because they’re expensive and it makes posers feel validated to have elite parts. Grab the RideOutSupply one for $40-50 bucks. It’ll last years and save you money. Great question
It’s an open face so it’s wide open. I went with a translucent yellow visor so it’s not an issue. Honestly though, visors don’t really impede visibility too much from my experience.
@@BigBikeBMX That’s good to know Isaac, thanks for the reply. I’m thinking about getting one. I got my son into riding recently and bought him a new school helmet, but wanted to get a vintage one for myself
@@hueyl1973 I’d definitely say this hits all the marks. It’s just a fun helmet that is safe. You could even replicate some iconic helmets like Woody’s Hutch helmet.
Bought the storm grey with bubble visor, awesome!
@@goodlookingjay6523 hell yeah 🤘
you could know me from the rides at average joes or the kid with the red and black blocks flyer
Sick kit!!
Yeah, I think I'm gonna need one. That takes me right back.

It definitely gets attention!
The Mad Dog is a Rad Dog, who could blame you.

Super Rad Helmet Man!!!
Thanks! It’s a fun one to wear
I like it, how is the vision compared to the newer ones?

Is the rooter color more orange or red?
Orange/brown is what I’d say.
Rad
I use a chrome helmet, sometimes. With ski goggles. The chrome keeps the helmet cooler in the sun.
FKN 🤘🏽
