Biggest thing to remember when changing your door strikers. Becareful taking them out because behind the door striker is a square opening with a loose square nut. The nut can fall into the quarter panel cavity.
Don't forget to use an erasable marker to outline the original position of the door striker before you take it off if you decide to replace the entire striker new. You want to have a flush door to fender and quarter panel fit. You can also keep the original strikers and just replace the plastic cylinder which the door locking latch strikes onto.

Door window bushings and guides, rattle when going up or down. Steel braided brake lines are a good upgrade, Stiff HVAC knobs, a little more effort turning them. Weather strip - ALL, just old & dry. Arm rest pads, worn & flat from years of use. Sagging headliners, Again 30 years old. Lights - all there not bright enough LOL. These are some of the little things with my 93' GT

I really wish someone like LMR would come out with a QUALITY heater core we can use. Everyone knows you can't expect much more than a few years out of the craptastic aluminum ones you can get now. There are so many really nice high dollar Fox builds now. This community deserves a better solution!

and repo the original shape of the heater core hoses. i replaced the 'box on my 1986 Gt, outdoors, one winter. that gave me all of one hour a day to work on it before it got dark. in 30 degree weather. took a few weeks to get it done, and then i tried to find an original shaped hose before i gave up and hoped the ones available were OEM quality if not OEM shaped.

Things I have done: water temp sender for the gauge to work. The membrane for the dash cluster, headlight, fog light wiring pigtails. Ignition switch and replacement pigtail. Transmission tailhousing seal. All window rubbers and window motors. And of course, all that was mentioned in the video. However, it’s been relaxing working on it in my shop. LMR is getting my money $100 at a time😂

i'll toss in here, on 1986 Fords, the voltage regulator in the guage panel goes back after 127,000 miles. result on my turbo t bird, ranger pickup and GT mustang is you come to a stop and the temp guage pegs out. by about 130K all the gauges peg out when you come to a stop. lucky it's not hard to replace, except you have to pull the gauge panel and then monkey with the clip holding the speedo cable. after you've done one, you get how to do it :)

when my ignition switch went i could see how it was falling apart i decided i never wanna do that again so i bought an ford motorcraft switch...checked all the metal ears to the plastic and tighten them then put small amounts of jb weld (yes on a new switch) to hold all in place...5 years later never a problem~!~~

Pickup in dizzy going out and/or tfi module has been a thorn in my side. Had issue with the lifetime warranty ones🙄. The vacuum hard lines are SUPER brittle now. I daily a 90 GT 5 speed all stock except air filter and mufflers 225k miles still on factory clutch. Clutch cable broke replaced ign switch 2x(zip tied last one still working) fuel pump @201k and pump relay(gave problems put original back)
And when I say daily I commute to work 60 miles one way 4 days a week . I don’t just run to corner store once a week lol. Ceramic brake pads, keep oil changed and keep riding!

Don’t drill actuator rivet. Pop actuator out bottom of bracket, lube new rubber bushings and pop in from bottom. Any Dorman or aftermarket actuators are junk and you’ll be back in the door soon. Go to to junkyard and look at 80’s 90’s ford power lock vehicles. Can even get a metal bracket to replace the broken white plastic one

Id be curious to see if anything else may fit/work? Just an idea....have a great day everyone
