What surprised me most was Artie coming out as gay and Mercedes being a really great dancer. In the show, it didn't really show how good she was as a dancer. Mr. Shue even made her go to boot camp for dancing.
I always thought that Artie’s actor was gay, but I didn’t know that he recently came out.
MncDssctn you can literally tell by his mannerisms that he was it didn’t really shock me. And yeah amber shocked me with the dancing that they had to have Brittany talk about it in fandue for two 😂
You all have to rewatch the first season fo Glee. She dances multiple times it is just never highlighted except in "Bust your Windows" where she SLAYS. Then they completely forgot that for her unnecessary "I can't dance" storyline later in the show.
Wonder Boy Yes, my point was that Mercedes should've had more dancing opportunities to showcase her talent instead of making her go to the bootcamp and making me believe that she wasn't super good.

Actually, she is a great actress because she had everyone both loving and hating her in Glee. Loved her singing but hated her selfishness.
@Karen Johnson, I hated, and I mean HATED every single second that Rachel Berry's mouth was open and making noise. I even hated her singing. I skipped through most of her parts and muted her during duets, waiting till the other person showed up, unmute, then mute again when her face showed back up again on screen. I cheered every time she didn't get her way and grabbed a snack in celebration every time she "quit" something.
I loved: Kurt, Mercedes, Finn, & Artie
Dislike: Rachel, Tina, Will (Teacher), Puck, Brittany, Jesse, & Sue Sylvester
Tolerate: Santana, Quinn, Blaine, Mike Chang, & Trouty Mouth
I did enjoy watching Glee but I'll also admit that the only real reason I started watching it was to see Adam Lambert act in it. Thank goodness the whole series is on Netflix, for binge watching through the seasons.
One little detail I am missing in this video is Jonathan Groff playing Kristoff in Frozen.

Darren Criss was a huge part of StarKid and a creator too. How can anyone forget that? That was his start and how glee got another huge fanbase.
They literally said 'a few small theater roles' I'M SO ANNOYED lol. Seriously, he was already famous before Glee, he just wasn't 'big star' famous.

Just as an example Chris Colfer has written 13 books not 5 (6 in the series and 5 spin off books plus two young adult novels). His young adult novels are Struck by Lightening, which was first written as a screenplay that he made into a movie that he acted in and produced, then he wrote the novel. The other novel is Stranger than Fan Fiction. You should have also mentioned that he is not just a successful author but is a New York Times Best Selling Author.
The Land of Stories series is also being made into a movie series and Chris is writing the screenplay, directing and producing it.

Lea's "Rachel" story is so darn interesting. She was on Spring Awakenings with Jonathan Groff and there was a strike so they didn't have anything to do. He got called to try out for a part from Ryan Murphy in LA and asked Lea to come with him. They all ended up having dinner where Lea and Ryan talked about how to do "Glee." This is why Ryan felt the part of Rachel was for Lea immediately. She still had to audition and was on her way to the audition when she got in a car accident. She walked away from it and showed up for her audition with glass still in her hair! Then during her song, she acted JUST LIKE RACHEL when the pianist went ahead in the music. I love all the characters, but find her story and career fascinating. I also feel she has the most amazing female voice in the world currently (perfectly pure and lungs that can hold a note forever!).
