Angelina's singing is soothing and warm, I do like it, but when Putri sings.... I just can't get over how she just draws you into her music & makes you a part of it. The emotion is so so overwhelming & powerful.

Playing an instrument with open eyes is a common thing, but playing an instrument with the right notes without looking is an extraordinary ability. and the world now sees you PUTRI ARIANI even though you can't see the world 😍🤗

If one plays an instrument while having to look, then they aren't Feeling their music. If you pay attention to most musicians, they often play with deep feeling and eyes often close. A musical instrument and one's hands positions and placement become second nature and there are many, many blind musicians. Also, I spent 3 months at a school for the blind and almost everyone there could at least carry a tune. When you shut down eyesight other senses...in this case hearing, listening deeply can be superbly enhanced. That said, Putri Ariana has exquisite voice control, tone & phrasing...as does Angelina in her own way. I so look forward to following the music of both these exquisite young talents.

I'm a Norwegian who has followed Angelina since she won Norway Got Talent at the age of 7, and to see that there is another amazing talent in Indonesia, only 10 days older, makes me so happy. Music is not a competition, it is soul, and both of them really "feel the music" in another way than I've seen other artists their age. I am so looking forward to following these two gems for the rest of my life.

Honestly there are many singers in the past and some current with similar voices…reminds me of Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdick, Whitney Houston and Maria Carey….both possess great talents and vocal ability…choose your own favourite…everyone has their own favourites…for me I prefer Maria Carey over Whitney and Humoerdick over Tome Jones…for this one Putri won my hearts as her singing is soulful…well that’s just me…cheers❤❤❤❤

Actually i trying to not look at Putri as a blind musicians, but in my opinion it is not apple to apple comparison. Think of how hard n difficult to learn piano without seeing was just blowed my mind. With the guitar, we can simply feel the marks. But not with piano. Its just one thing from some other things that makes Putri is more special in my eyes than any others 17yo singers. Angelina is very good too i like her too. Its just, i guess we couldnt make the comparison of these two talented girl. Not apple to apple in my opinion

That might be true if the Grammy awards were based strictly on talent. It isnt. For either of these fine talents to win they need exposure and sales numbers in the right markets. Plus their are other factors which should have no bearing on choosing the "best" but they do. And AJ is probably with the advantage in those non talent areas which isnt fair.

I applaud you @thealanpapier for creating this video, your best yet! I'm sure the comparisons may have been on some people's minds. You tackled it head on, sharing similarities with certain performance situations and song selections. There was no attempt to try and show which artist was better than the other. You never do that in any of your videos. They're both great in their own way. And you did your homework. I was not aware of almost all of the Putri Ariani content, other than AGT, that you brought to your video, and thank you for this enlightening education. She will be someone to watch, that's for sure! After reading some of the comments, it's unfortunate that sides would be drawn. Yet, it's understandable, as you said at the outset, that each country would hold their own up high. We all should feel lucky that there are more new young exceptional voices to listen to being recognized now in the world. Thank you for sharing them with us.
I love what you have written because these were my thought as well, the comparisons started clicking for me when I heard Putri won Indonesia's Got Talent in 2014. We are so blessed to be alive at this time to hear the wonderful music they will both make.

Both of these beautiful people deserve all they desire in life. To me Putri sounds more adapt on the piano than Angelina but her voice is not as warm as AJ’s and without a jazz background her phrasing is less unique. Putri did a nice cover of Angelina’s arraignment of Bohemian Rhapsody but did not achieve the dynamic effect that Angelina does.
In my earlier years there were many wonderful male singers. Sinatra, Fisher, Damone, Jack Jones, Andy Williams and the recently past Ed Ames to name a few. My favorite was and still is Andy Williams. Each one of them had fantastic voices and all had many covers done in their own style which you could rely on. The same can be said for several of todays singers. Diana A, Beyoncé, Christina A, Putri and Angelina. They all are wonderful and each of us can choose which is our favorite. Mine remains Angelina Jordan. Thank you for highlighting both of these beautiful young ladies.

I'm not into music, but seeing and listening to Putri Ariani at AGT never bores me. Her voice is so clear, and how she gives emotion to every word she sings, is truly extraordinary.
Meanwhile, Angelina Jordan's articulation is less clear and sometimes unclear. He's a great singer with cool technique, but for me there are too many curves in his voice. Many people may like that type of singing. but I prefer Princess Aryani's pure singing style. What stirs us with emotion in every words, not with the curves that adorn her songs.

I discovered Angelina Jordon in 2014 while Putri Ariani in June 2023... weird isn't it, Putri live in my neighboring country while Angelina live in Europe...
Once I get to know Putri from AGT her name was burst by storm all over the world... I hope both girls will collaborate as a duet singers in a near future...god blessed both of them, their families and fans.

Update January 7 2024. Angelina has performed at Fifa awards, performed first US concert which l attended, performed at Germanys Next Top Model, was invited and performed at Le Bal Debutantes in Paris she looked gorgeous by the way, performed at this year's Nobel Peace Prize ceremony singing Unchained Melody honoring Narges Mohammadi who is imprisoned with a 31 year sentence for defending human rights in Iran, where Angelina's grandma Mery Zamani is from. This was naturally an honor for Angelina. Angelina has put out an EP called Old Enough working with a who's who of artists doing original songs from Angelina's journal of 100 songs she has written. She has also put out a Christmas EP and single " Our Time". She turns 18 in 4 days, her Album and tour schedule should begin soon from Republic Record/ Universal's commitment of her signing as their number one priority artist. Oh also Republic is building a studio in her house for her. Just thought you should know.

@@chaewonkim2384 Yes you are right they both started composing music at a young age Angelina started putting out her own songs at 12, and she will have an EP out this summer of some of her originals and a world tour in the fall, I am hoping the best for Putri as well, I think she is wonderful.

I like AJ cause of vigorous voice in so low tone but I like Pa cause of emotional voice in clearence word, they all are amazing hopely perform in a stage for world peace
