“Forgive, Forgive, Forgive my sin. O’ fairies who love freedom… O’ fairies who protected that love; Your Britain will surely prosper, gathering uncountable deaths, forever and ever. This is easily one of my favorite map themes in the entire game. Just watching the British Lostbelt's destruction on the scale that it happened was absolutely haunting. LB6 was truly incredible.
lostbelt 6 that time where life, the gods and even the very planet itself decided the fae dont deserve to exist. even humanity as the greatest threat to gaia in its entire history has never received this amount of punishment regardless of timeline.
The Fae deserved not salvation nor a new beginning, they begged for forgiviness. "Forgive, Forgive, Forgive… our sin.” It wasn´t a journey to save them, only to give them forgiveness of their Sin, the sin that cursed britan, the world, the gods and themself, a journey made for us to attone and plead for not only the Fae sin but also our own, a journey of forgiveness. Forgive, Forgive, Forgive our sin.
It didn't just happen because they procrastinated, it happened because they blasphemed. They weren't content with being spared by Cernunnos, so they assassinated him via poison and chopped his priestess up and used her corpse as a basis for artificially creating human beings. Actual demons
@@mxes5938 because the earth sent a f*cking god to tell you to do your job??? Seriously, the level of absurdity achieved by those fairies is unbelievable lol
This Lostbelt was the only one I think I was truly glad it was erased forever. Even the Permafrost Empire could've been a place that isn't totally hell to live in after taking down Ivan, but Brittain truly had no hope of ever becoming better, because most fairies were simply rotten to the core or ignorant of said corruption, and even the few good fairies at the end of the Avalon La Fae chapter gave up on the Fae population and actively sought out its destruction.
The lostbelt was the most resembling Panhistory, you mean? Because political assassinations, greed, betrayal? All that happens and worse in Panhistory. Including building your prosperity by trampling others. That's what Kirschtaria criticized. It's just Panhistoy but with faeries, if you're going to condemn them, you'll say the same thing about Panhistory.
@@thethessaliah LB6 is so unsubtle about the faeries and humans being the same in their capacity for good and evil that it's legitimately hilarious that people constantly get their murderboners on over them. Nasu really had Merlin spell it out that the Original Sin of the Six Faeries was not inhuman in nature, and made the entire island of Faerie Britain a very literal metaphor for the empires of human history and even the process of Heroic Spirits coming into being, atop the bodies of the dead, and people are just like "Hah, wow this proves the inhuman barbarism of the faeries."
@@Menesisproton I mean, sacrificing others to fuel your own place is how the Pruning System goes. Not even warmonering empires, but how average Panhistory humanity lives and survives. @@thethessaliah That's an interesting perspective. This OST shows despair, hatred, fear, depression, need, envy, sloth, death, life, loss of all hope possible and sin itself. an unforgivable sin, an ancient and cursed sin, one so ancient that it would never disappear from the earth even if the earth itself disappeared. The trip was never about saving the fairies or giving them a better future or something they deserved, it was about giving them the forgiveness they need, the forgiveness they didn't receive 12,000 years ago and even now won't receive. A very deep story that speaks not of hope but of forgiveness. “Forgive, Forgive, Forgive my sin. A world destined for oblivion long ago. A world where every inhabitant is destined for destruction and where it would likely be the best outcome. In some ways, the calamities of Barghest, Albion, Cernunnos and Oberon were the only salvation for the people of Fae Britain and despite the atrocities those calamities committed and as such were heroes of the realm abandoned by Proper Human History, possibly even considered such by the few non-corrupted fae in their last moments.
Lostbelt 6th sure made me hate the fairies, but why I disgust them is how resembles they are to us, Human in PHH. Sure fairies is the exagarated version of human behaviour, since all fairies had their "OWN ROLE" and mimic-ing it from Human they know. All is for the fun only. They are like a child with hollow heart. Thats why fairies who had their own purpose, can found what their purpose, become good example, to us, since our reality is not so far from them really, thats why we disgust them, hate them. What we see is our "mirror", thats why mirror clan got wiped and decide to surrender when melusine mas4ccred them. They finally found their salvations.

Going from the PV to having this on the map. For me this ost is THE part 2 ost

The Case Study of Lord El-Melloi II showed us that Britain is the problem
Avalon la Fae showed us the solution to this problem.
