I remember the first time seeing the first Mortal Kombat at my local pizza place, the digitized graphics blew our minds. When MK II came out, it took the game to the next level with more fighters and moves, and it's often still the MK I choose when playing on an emulator. MK2 was our pizzeria arcade game back in the day. My friends and I would crowd around that beautiful machine and we spent hours (and plenty of quarters) trying to learn all the fatalities/babalities. 😂 Never got to master the “friendships” so maybe now I’ll get the chance! We love your channel Rob - the arcade looks awesome. My 9 yo daughter, Zoey, enjoys A1up/retro games and she’s a Kelsalls Arcade fan too. Loved first MK but when MK II came out it was incredible. All of the hidden content and brutality of it was great. If anyone was doing fatalities in the Arcade back in the day they were like Rock Stars.
You have a cool arcade. I have the Atari Legacy cabinet myself and love it! As for Mortal kombat 2 , I always liked the game, especially the Sega Genesis post. Altought Im not a fan of Combat games which I play sparingly, I always enjoy playing MK 2 with Sub-zero. Its a classic for all generations

I love MK2 because of the added characters, level designs, sounds, added fatalities and all the other extras. We used to play the heck outta this in the arcade and the Super Nintendo when it came out!!

Just got my first countercade, Galaga '88, not too long ago. Just ordered a partycade, Super Pac-Man, and am going to try that out as well. I love Mortal Kombat II because it was my favorite MK growing up. I remember there was huge hype in my local arcade, Aladdin's Castle, when it came out. Mortal Kombat seemed so far ahead of its time, and then MK2 came out and had more hidden content and options, just completely putting it in a league of its own. All these years later and it's still just as fun to play! Thanks Rob and Lillie for the opportunity!
For me, MK2 means so many quarters put on the glass and so many hours spent in the arcade with my friends! Now, 30 years later, my same close friends in our late 40s still regularly meet up in person every few weekends, equiped with arcade fightsticks, for fighting game nights! Of all the MKs, MK2 was easily the one we played the most in the 90'.
I like most on here, love this game for the nostalgia. Grew up playing these in the arcades. I even have a TH-cam channel that’s got a lot of speed runs and various playthroughs. Miss those days playing in my local arcade. Lol.

MKII is my favorite arcade game of all time-- in high school, my friends and I used to drive 25 miles to the nearest arcade almost every day just to play it. I had a side business selling move sheets for $10 a pop at the local arcades. One day when I was on vacation with my family in Florida (about 1,500 miles away from where I lived at the time), there was a dude in an arcade selling Xerox copies of MY sheet, so that was wild...
I was roughly 7-8yo. I remember walking into my local arcade, Aladdin's Castle, and there was just a mob surrounding this 1 game, all these older kids. I had to see wut the fuss was about naturally, and wut I saw changed my life forever. Hooked ever since, love that I can recreate these amazing memories now at home. Thanks arcade1up
I don’t have the room for the regular sized MK Arcade1up, so the countercade would be perfect. I was blown away by the style of MK and Wrestlemania. I’m a big fan of both game series.
At the time Mortal Kombat 2 was released to the public, I was playing more Street Fighter 2. I played MK1 a few times at the arcade but never got into it. However when I played Mk2 the 1st time I was amazed how much better it was compared to MK1. The sounds, graphics, controls, new characters, I was hooked. Played against many great players and met some of my life long friends playing Mk2 with each other. Great memories!
I love MK 2 because the pure nostalgia. I lived in a one horse town growing up and everyone wanted to play the MK2. The wait was 20 minutes and man, it was worth every quarter. 😎
This was a favorite of mine to play with friends and cousins. This is perfect for my two younger daughters to bring in the next generation of MK players!!

I’m a bit younger, so my intro to Mortal Kombat was actually MK9. It wasn’t until I was a little older that I got curious about the classic games, including MK2, and loved it. Probably my favorite memories with the game was playing it with my dad, who grew up with the games in arcades. Was so proud of myself when I managed to beat him
Mortal Kombat 2 had in my opinion the best roster and story. The fact the tournament took place in outworld was what set it apart. Between the characters and the amazing stages... that's what makes it the best. I personally liked it more than mk3 or umk3. Yeah, so better story... roster and stages.

MK2 was one of the first fighting arcade games I played back in the 90s and the first time I played it was while waiting in lobby to see the 90s Mortal Kombat movie in theaters 🎥 (your brother soul is mine!!)) Shang Tsung voice lol
I love MK2 because it was just so amazing and the graphics were mind blowing!! The new character Baraka was my favourite he was so awesome !! It was just as big as street fighter 2 !! It’s an iconic game and will never be forgotten!! Top game that will never be forgotten and always playable even today that’s why I love MK2 !!
It’s been my favorite game since I was 12 years old! Would spend hours at the arcade playing it and losing to better players until I became an excellent player! I’ve since acquired the MK on PS3 with the fight stick and I bought a MK Arcade 1up for the office! This would be an awesome addition to take camping in the summer!
I used to play MK1 and MK2 after school at a local video game rental store. I got into fighting games with street fighter but MK was just so different at the time and not to mention all the bloody gore 😆
Mortal Kombat II really was the peak for me. I was big into those Golan Globus Ninja movies as well as movies like Bloodsport back when Mortal Kombat came out originally, so that game was right up my alley. MKII just did everything better with more characters and more moves and a ton of great memories playing It with friends. 3 got a little too futuristic for my tastes with the robot ninja and whatnot.
Was always a huge fan of Mortal Kombat growing up but never had quarters to play, plus most of the people playing were too good. For the rare chances I did get to play it wasn’t long. Still a huge fan and would be awesome to get that arcade feel again at home.

Been playing mk since snes. My older brother got me into it when I was little He 13 years older then me but that how we spent time together when he had the time. He got me hooked on 🦂 Scorpion and Raiden. I just got into these arcade 1up there pretty cool. Reminds me of being a kid again now I have 2 little boys my self. I just got a mk legacy cabinet for a steal and me n my oldest one love it! Be cool to win if I do I'll for sure show it off and maybe even make a video on it n my other one n put it on my yt. Mortal kombat has always been one of my all time favorite series. First time I ever played was with my older cousins on the Sega genesis. We stayed up all night trying to pull off all the fatalites! Played part 2 in our mall arcade. Spent sooo much of my parents money getting my butt kicked but it was some of the best times being a teenager in a arcade having fun
I like MK2 because it was just that. The sequel! With that, it could only have gotten better. Graphics and resolution was improved, more characters to choose from, more over the top fatalities, then add animalities, friendship and babalities! Glad to see the programmers didn't take things "too" serious!
I remember when it came out. I was like 9 and my parents went through a divorce at the time. The only peace I had was the times I found quarters and rode my bike to Pizza Hut in the neighborhood to play. Even if I could just play time, it gave me a smile and joy for five minutes. Until I had to return home, Mortal Kombat 2 and TC 2000 will always be special in my heart.

Mortal kombat was my first arcade experience back in the day… remember walking on the street and I saw a big amount of people around one arcade… at that time street fighter 2 world warrior was a very popular one but on that day was not so much… so going back on that arcade that everyone was around, watching or waiting to play… when I saw it , I was like 😯, totally 😍 at first sight…until today my favourite arcade game, and bring very good memories from my childhood!!!! 😊
Mortal Kombat had such bada$$ mystique about it when it came out...especially if you were one of the cooler kids with SEGA Genesis and blood! It's kinda mind blowing the controversy this release was when it was released in early 90s, compared to what's out there now! I was watching my younger nephews playing the MK11 Switch release and going "sheesh" in my head. Lol Now that my A1up Arcade inspired my nephews to create their own mini game room, this would go great! Plus uncle can whoop those youngsters. Haha Good luck to all!
Why do I like mortal kombat. First I like to say I like your channel I came across by accident before I brought my attack from mars pinball and keep coming back to see your reviews and opinions and Lilly is a star ⭐️. Also I got my dragon lair iircade machine after your review. Back to the answer it is mainly nostalgia for me is why I love mortal combat. It takes me back to another time and memory’s of friends and family / home in the south of England 🏴. (Bty I live in Canada now). A time of watching movies like best of the best with friends after taekwondo lessons and heading to the snes for some mortal kombat or Mario kart. Also that feeling of going to a arcade on summer holidays in south of England and the smell of sea and sand with ice cream and a stick of rock. One of the best classic fighting games of all time but with that edge of gore that was just soo cool for a 80 / 90s kid. Thank you for great content keep up the good work.
Nothing better than Mortal Kombat II! They took a fantastic game in MK1 and improved upon it greatly. It's just a perfect 2-player fighting game for me. The computer AI is stupid as hell though. You can't beat it just playing normally, but you can cheese them to death with sweeps and jump kicks!
I agree not my favorite version of Arcade1up products but my Lillie (Mary Kate) loves her Galaga countercade and If I won I would give it to her. Great Video Thumbs up .... Absolutely we aren’t making the same content we used too. Need to try and get back to it as time permits. My day job takes precedence, so really only do this as a hobby. MKII may be cheap with its AI, but the multiplayer possibilities are endless. I was at an event venue which had this playable, as well as some other games like Darkstalkers, Lethal Enforcers, and Centipede, but I think I spent most of my time on this one. It was a blast to play with others, beating them as either Scorpion or Sub-Zero.
I got mortal Kombat 2 arcade machine with all four of games on it and I got NBA jams countercade I been thinking about get mortal combat are marvel countercade
I would love this MK2 for my daughter, she’s 2 years old and loves to play our family’s Arcade1Ups we have 6 so far and we have room for two more haha. But she gets so excited every time I turn the arcade on I think this would be a blast to play with her and eventually her brother who is 4 months old! I’m sure my MK2 story is going to be similar to others. There was a machine in a gas station outside my high school where I used to spend way too much money on this game before and after school! And I’m actually pretty terrible. Money wasted most likely. Lol
My arcade has a door to the crawl space and it’s finished with carpet. Lights are strung up in it and the kids play hide and seek there. Debating making a “mini-arcade” since it is entered from my basement arcade. Can send a picture if you’d like!

MK2 was one of the first fighting arcade games I played back in the 90s and the first time I played it was while waiting in lobby to see the 90s Mortal Kombat movie in theaters 🎥

I love MK2 because it was just so amazing and the graphics were mind blowing!! The new character Baraka was my favourite he was so awesome !! It was just as big as street fighter 2 !! It’s an iconic game and will never be forgotten!! Top game that will never be forgotten and always playable even today that’s why I love MK2 !!

It’s been my favorite game since I was 12 years old! Would spend hours at the arcade playing it and losing to better players until I became an excellent player! I’ve since acquired the MK on PS3 with the fight stick and I bought a MK Arcade 1up for the office! This would be an awesome addition to take camping in the summer!

I used to play MK1 and MK2 after school at a local video game rental store. I got into fighting games with street fighter but MK was just so different at the time and not to mention all the bloody gore 😆

Mortal Kombat II really was the peak for me. I was big into those Golan Globus Ninja movies as well as movies like Bloodsport back when Mortal Kombat came out originally, so that game was right up my alley. MKII just did everything better with more characters and more moves and a ton of great memories playing It with friends. 3 got a little too futuristic for my tastes with the robot ninja and whatnot.
2 is the best out of the series in my opinion also. Good luck!
Was always a huge fan of Mortal Kombat growing up but never had quarters to play, plus most of the people playing were too good. For the rare chances I did get to play it wasn’t long. Still a huge fan and would be awesome to get that arcade feel again at home.

Been playing mk since snes. My older brother got me into it when I was little He 13 years older then me but that how we spent time together when he had the time. He got me hooked on 🦂 Scorpion and Raiden. I just got into these arcade 1up there pretty cool. Reminds me of being a kid again now I have 2 little boys my self. I just got a mk legacy cabinet for a steal and me n my oldest one love it! Be cool to win if I do I'll for sure show it off and maybe even make a video on it n my other one n put it on my yt. Mortal kombat has always been one of my all time favorite series. First time I ever played was with my older cousins on the Sega genesis. We stayed up all night trying to pull off all the fatalites! Played part 2 in our mall arcade. Spent sooo much of my parents money getting my butt kicked but it was some of the best times being a teenager in a arcade having fun

I like MK2 because it was just that. The sequel! With that, it could only have gotten better. Graphics and resolution was improved, more characters to choose from, more over the top fatalities, then add animalities, friendship and babalities! Glad to see the programmers didn't take things "too" serious!

I remember when it came out. I was like 9 and my parents went through a divorce at the time. The only peace I had was the times I found quarters and rode my bike to Pizza Hut in the neighborhood to play. Even if I could just play time, it gave me a smile and joy for five minutes. Until I had to return home, Mortal Kombat 2 and TC 2000 will always be special in my heart.

I like Mortal Kombat 2 because that was one of the games I would play at my College student center along with SF 2 and Samurai Showdown.

I love MK3 when they added combos. It is fun playing as Sindel in the arcade polling off her ez moves.

Mortal kombat was my first arcade experience back in the day… remember walking on the street and I saw a big amount of people around one arcade… at that time street fighter 2 world warrior was a very popular one but on that day was not so much… so going back on that arcade that everyone was around, watching or waiting to play… when I saw it , I was like 😯, totally 😍 at first sight…until today my favourite arcade game, and bring very good memories from my childhood!!!! 😊

Mortal Kombat had such bada$$ mystique about it when it came out...especially if you were one of the cooler kids with SEGA Genesis and blood! It's kinda mind blowing the controversy this release was when it was released in early 90s, compared to what's out there now! I was watching my younger nephews playing the MK11 Switch release and going "sheesh" in my head. Lol Now that my A1up Arcade inspired my nephews to create their own mini game room, this would go great! Plus uncle can whoop those youngsters. Haha Good luck to all!

Why do I like mortal kombat.
First I like to say I like your channel I came across by accident before I brought my attack from mars pinball and keep coming back to see your reviews and opinions and Lilly is a star ⭐️.

Back to the answer it is mainly nostalgia for me is why I love mortal combat. It takes me back to another time and memory’s of friends and family / home in the south of England 🏴. (Bty I live in Canada now).
A time of watching movies like best of the best with friends after taekwondo lessons and heading to the snes for some mortal kombat or Mario kart. Also that feeling of going to a arcade on summer holidays in south of England and the smell of sea and sand with ice cream and a stick of rock.
One of the best classic fighting games of all time but with that edge of gore that was just soo cool for a 80 / 90s kid.

Nothing better than Mortal Kombat II! They took a fantastic game in MK1 and improved upon it greatly. It's just a perfect 2-player fighting game for me. The computer AI is stupid as hell though. You can't beat it just playing normally, but you can cheese them to death with sweeps and jump kicks!

I agree not my favorite version of Arcade1up products but my Lillie (Mary Kate) loves her Galaga countercade and If I won I would give it to her. Great Video Thumbs up .... Absolutely we aren’t making the same content we used too. Need to try and get back to it as time permits. My day job takes precedence, so really only do this as a hobby. MKII may be cheap with its AI, but the multiplayer possibilities are endless. I was at an event venue which had this playable, as well as some other games like Darkstalkers, Lethal Enforcers, and Centipede, but I think I spent most of my time on this one. It was a blast to play with others, beating them as either Scorpion or Sub-Zero.

I would love this MK2 for my daughter, she’s 2 years old and loves to play our family’s Arcade1Ups we have 6 so far and we have room for two more haha. But she gets so excited every time I turn the arcade on I think this would be a blast to play with her and eventually her brother who is 4 months old! I’m sure my MK2 story is going to be similar to others. There was a machine in a gas station outside my high school where I used to spend way too much money on this game before and after school! And I’m actually pretty terrible. Money wasted most likely. Lol

My arcade has a door to the crawl space and it’s finished with carpet. Lights are strung up in it and the kids play hide and seek there. Debating making a “mini-arcade” since it is entered from my basement arcade. Can send a picture if you’d like!

Ill be 43 on Sunday....MK2 was my childhood....i can still remember the weekend it hit Aladdins Castle....was a huge deal and a huge line to play it.....by far my favorite MK!! Game has stood the test of time!!👊
