Gomukh is also known as "Gaumukh" or "Gomukhi" The word Gomukh/Gaumukh (go/gau=cow, mukh= mouth) literally means "Mouth of a Cow." Gomukh is the terminus or snout of the Gangotri Glacier
and the source of the Bhagirathi River , one of the primary headstreams of the River Ganga
Tapovan comes from the two root words tapas, meaning 'penance' and by extension 'religious mortification' and 'austerity', and more generally spiritual practice and vana, meaning 'forest' or 'thicket'. Tapovana then translates as 'forest of austerities or spiritual practice'.

দারুণ দারুণ। আমরা আগামী 16th October গঙ্গোত্রী থেকে ভোজবাসা যাব pony নিয়ে। ঐ দিনেই গোমুখ দর্শন করে রাতে ভোজবাসা থাকব। পরের দিন সকালেই pony নিয়ে গঙ্গোত্রী ফিরব ঠিক করেছি। এটা কি সম্ভব হবে?
