From Crane Brinton, "The course that Revolution seems to take: 1. Impossible demands are made of government which, if granted, would mean its end. 2. Unsuccessful government attempts to suppress revolutionaries. 3. Revolutionaries gain power and seem united. 4. Once in power, revolutionaries begin to quarrel among themselves, and unit begins to dissolve. 5. The moderates gain the leadership but fail to satisfy those who insist on further changes. 6. Power is gained by progressively more radical groups until finally a lunatic fringe gains almost complete control. 7. A strong man emerges and assumes great power. 8. The extremists try to create a "heaven on earth" by introducing their whole program and by punishing all their opponents. 9. A period of terror occurs. 10. Moderate groups regain power. The revolution is over. " Most revolutions follow this order. Some of the steps can be skipped (like number 8). Therefore, generally, there can be mini revolutions when there is one revolution (3 and 7 in particular). If you want to find out more, just search Crane Brinton's Anatomy of Revolution and it should give you more info.
Agreed, though you could consider the Whiskey Rebellion to be a miniature Reign of Terror to prove that the United States had authority. For the bloodless revolutions, there are a few, like the Glorious Revolution in Britain, however you could consider that really to be step 10 of the English Civil War. Ultimately, there are generally at least three government changes in a successful revolution: 1) The overthrow of the old Government 2) The Revolutionary Government 3) The Moderate Government Then sometimes a figure will arise and has the backing of the people. These are generally law and order candidates, due to the instability of the Revolutionary times. These can create dictatorships or authority based governments (like Napoleon III). What prevented this from occurring in the United States was that Washington stepped down after two terms, and the other presidents followed Washington's legacy (with the exception of FDR, but I am not going to go there). Ultimately, a leader will need to step up about the situation that has support by both sides. The problem here is that the two sides are very fragmented, therefore unity will be difficult. From the exit polls, the "Chocolate King" (as Vice likes to call him) has won the election, so I hope that he will be able to defuse the situation and then does not try to overreach what he can do.
Brave, brave people you are, guys! You could be an example for any other country whose citizens should fight the intern corruption. Seeing this was really intense. I remember back when I was 10, my dad used to work for an organization that gave support for the poorest people in eastern Europe. Me and my family were invited to go there(my dad went often). It really was a nice country, which you could see was actively developing. This was in 2013, just before hell broke out in the eastern part of the country. I didn't know much about it, but learning about it now, I'm very shocked that I was that close to it. Now that I'm older and understand such issues, I see Russia, where corruption and democracy are running hot aswell. I'm scared that if Putin goes mad, Europe and America will pay the cost of his actions. Let's all hope Navalny takes the throne from Putin and restores the country.

I could not hold back my tears when the crowd said "everything will turn out well" in front of their fallen people murdered by the regime. In Hong Kong, we are encouraging each other by saying that "I hope we can take off our masks and meet each other outside of the Legislative Council building once this is over". The government's absurdity is escalating as we speak. A few days ago, a female protestor had her underwear ripped off and her private part exposed in front of the camera by several police. Journalists are being shot, beat up and harassed for no particular reason by the police. A local White pastor was interrogated by the police simply because he was sitting outside in a rainy day. (the Chinese government insists that we're backed by the US) Not to mention all the unlawful shooting, arrests and infringement of human rights. And the craziest part is that a lot of our own people actually choose to turn their heads away from these monstrosities and choose to believe in communist propaganda. The Chinese people are also angry with us and blame us for not embracing the almighty communist party and spam our social media with shitty messages... Our cases and situations are different but we are drawing inspirations from Ukraine. We are grateful for each and every Ukrainian freedom fighter's effort.
@@waluigi43 Do you even know what are we protesting for? We are not protesting for independence, we know that it is not feasible. There are so many corporate leaders and capitalists that have a similar estate as that of Yanukovych that it really shouldn't pass as a museum of corruption, unless you want to call capitalism a form of corruption.
Yanokovychs' salary as President was $25,000 a year..... How was he a capitalist, unless you call being President something one would do and expect to make a huge profit from it....
I would most definitely expect great profit and power from being the leader of a nation. Yes an estate like that is cocky, but really it's not a symbol of corruptness. The documents provide the corruptness part.

I was actually in Ukraine when this whole thing started. I was 11 years old in Ukraine in January 2014 to visit my grandmother who died from heart disease. My dad told me he saw protests and not too violent protests on the streets
It's relatively calm right now.
Can someone tell me who's police is shooting them? Is it the Russia Police or Ukraine Polive?

@Josef Mengele Joseph Stalin, Nikita Khrushchev, Leonid Brezhnev, Yuriy Andropov, Konstantin Chernenko and Mikhail Gorbachev
@Josef Mengele No, Russians fought on the side of communist Vietnam and not only Russians, Ukrainians also fought
@Josef Mengele People fought from the Baltic states, Belarus and Central Asia, but most of the people from Russia and Ukraine
8:54 That's really sad and makes me feel proud that I am Ukrainian!
Josef Mengele no they aren’t they had their own country. They have their own culture and identity.
Josef Mengele trusting the USA is better than trusting Russia.
@Josef Mengele They are both built on lies. the difference? one is degenerate ( America ) while the other kills civilians deliberate ( russia ) and wants to expand its russian people by killing others and making fake referndums. at least america government does not have fake elections. I would rather stick to a degenrate country than a murderous one
And that Ukrainian troops kill every day Ukrainian citizens who do not agree with the coup in 2013-14, are you also proud of the bastard?

Now their leaders want more to die while they sit at home with their families. Is the Government leaders at the Donbas border in a trench with a rifle in their hands. Instead of standing with them why not go to Ukraine and join their military and go to the frontline. Oh, hold on brown and black people are not exactly welcome there. Don't glorify war.

From Crane Brinton, "The course that Revolution seems to take:
Most revolutions follow this order.
Ultimately, there are generally at least three government changes in a successful revolution:
1) The overthrow of the old Government
2) The Revolutionary Government
3) The Moderate Government
Then sometimes a figure will arise and has the backing of the people.
Russia
Brave, brave people you are, guys! You could be an example for any other country whose citizens should fight the intern corruption. I just watched the Netflix documentary about the Ukrainian Revolution and my respect for the people who ve been there can't be any higher right now. Slava Ukraini, Heroyam Slava. Greetings from Romania
Well, here we are in war with Russia...
Wow you nailed it

Lily sung Hello from mainland China. Look at today’s Ukraine, hope you could learn something useful from the history
Hong Kong is Chinese, it was and it will stay that way. Stop protesting.
