Hiii that's a good question! Lessons are a like a new skill tree to Studio mode as it'll be beneficial to Studio mode only. Lessons are split into 4 parts (Record, Choreography, Snap, Stage) and I'll explain one-by-one 1) Record increases your maximum HP bar in the Studio mode. The higher your record level is, the longer the HP bar. 2) Choreography helps you to get better score in terms of note accuracy, as you're able to hit better notes and avoid hitting notes such as Fair notes and Good notes. 3) Snap increases your gold rewards everytime you finish a game on Studio mode. 4) Stage increases your score by a certain percentage, depending on how high your stage level is. I feel you 😭whenever catch is activated, the effect in the background causes the game to lag. I myself have also experienced frame rate drop and it is unpleasant. I hope they can fix this or at least give us a toggle to disable catch effect in the settings. That will be great. 🙏
