It is good role-playing in a way. A Harry who refrains from action out of fear of failure, unable to confront his past.

Love it when the game slowly show that Harry is/was a badass detective.
I'm not sure if that's the right word. Harry *is* extremely competent _some of the time,_ but has serious mental and physical baggage that makes him miserable to be or be around. He's sort of like House from House M.D. Brilliant, but with major character failings that prevent him from finding real happiness. And like House, some might say that Harry has paid too high of a cost for his genius. It's come at the expense of everything. You have a man who *only* has his work, and without it there's not much left of him. I think it's more _sad_ than anything else.
@@DovahFettHe's competent most of the time. You don't solve 216 cases in around 18 years. Kim has only solved like half of that number in slightly longer time.
Which reminds me!! Someone PLEASE make Bricky read the damn Ledger!!

yeah in fact later on it's revealed that Harry is some what of a minor celebrity himself in the crime world. Well at least Ruby heard about him and are afraid enough to skip town. The man is like fucking death incarnated, relentless and will get to the bottom of things and make people squeel.

When his eyes went wide I was like "Ha, he knows" and then he checked for Morell I was like OH HE DOESNT KNOW
I had exactly the same thought process! Although it sucked some of the shock out of the actual realisation because it wasn't as bad as when he thought it was Morell in there.

Your true name, something golden, and orange, and alcoholic. As I recall you didn't have enough conceptualization to get that line earlier. But it's still funny.
Lilienne ,the net picker and Joyce have the same voice actor , their voices are beautiful and soothing .
A lot of characters share similar voice actors. Tommy and Manana are another example. I kept trying to think of who else she voices and couldn’t figure it out but I knew they’re out there. Thanks for helping me figure it out. (No one asked for my opinion but I think it’s glaringly obvious since tommy and manana are not even a street away from each other)

Seeing Bricky Stumble his way though things is both hilarious and infuriating sometimes.
Bricky being an ass to Jean, without knowing the whole story makes sense, though I do feel bad for Jean. The whole: People skilling Esprite De Cops to learn about Kim, just to find out you already have a depressed wife at home already, is still something I need to experience in another playthrough

yeah the +1 exp per bubble is one of the better toughts if gotten early ( or if you don't click on any bubbles beforehand ).
Joyce also gives out another amazing one, netting you 0.1 Real per green bubble
In case anyone is curious i'll say what that thought that gives reál for the bubbles is.
It's the fourteenth (or maybe fifteenth, can't remember) indotribe. I think it becomes available by talking to her about wild pines, but i can't remember if you have to steer the dialogue in a specific way or have to pass a check or if it's automatic.

Bricky finally unlocked the best map portion of the game.
The "look under the floorboards" line is kind of strange given that you can't even do it until later in the game.
I don't even know it it's time locked or if you need to have a high enough perception to do it. In my first playthrough i had the thinker archetype and therefore had really low shivers but great perception, and iirc i found the floorboards decently early, while i only got shivers pop ups like in the central martinaise plaza and next to the fishing shacks after putting on all my shivers clothing (where da hood, where da hood, where da hood at?), and i think it works likewise for other skills.
I also think Perception wasn't high enough. After all it's Shivers who tells you to look - but where?
Knowing what I do about that bottle, the "Hi Molly! Nice to see you again!" is hilariously well placed...
NGL, I knew this was going to be a plot point the second I saw that trashed butter sign.
Your style is perfect for Let's Playing this game.
Idk why I latched onto Lilienne as a character while also forgetting all of her dialogue. I just appropriated her vibe and now it feels weird listening to her **not being me**
She's so cool because like she's not cool, she just kind of is heartfelt and real.

I don't know, but i would assume the question is about kim's bad eyesight, not about being asian.
I thought that he was asking if Kim's dad was an alcoholic like Harry, the eyesight thing makes way more sense
Harry intends to ask about eyesight, yes. But it actually comes off as slightly racist (to Kim) if that option is picked. You won't lose trust points on picking it though.
i think harry thinks it looks so funny too, because he did it for the bit in the first place and he knows it

Honestly i'm still mad (not really, just as a joke) that bricky didn't go for the legendary red check when first getting out of his room at the whirling. *Spoilers* in case you don't know.
I desperately wanted to see his reaction to the legendary failure line of "i want to have fuck with you" and see its ramifications all the way through the game. Honestly one of the best things this game does as a narrative rpg is letting the failures actually become interesting parts of the story, like a real ttrpg campaign. Harry's fancy fake name came from a check failure. I failed an empathy check while talking to sylvie on the phone and poor garte suffered the consequences. Then of course that line pops up in like two or three separate occasions.
