- Terry Shade's Beginning 6th Grade Orchestra play Dragon Hunter by Richard Meyer! "There's a dragon on the loose (you can hear him in the bass and cello sections) and your strings are in on the hunt! The medieval-sounding excitement is all created using notes from the D scale, no slurs, and no sixteenth notes!"
The basses did great! I’m a bass player myself and there motion when they shift to C sharp and High D is fantastic.
If it feels to slow for you, try putting it in 1.25 speed, sounds even better that way!
ty, i never thought of that
Im pretty sure u have to stand up for the double bass but still it was good. Just a bit toooo slow
TruKingTix no, you can sit if you have a tall enough stool. I play stand up bass
I’m a bass player and I sit down
@@compluted3068 lucky bastard-
@@mikxtaa LMAO
ah I’m playing this at my middle school and it sound like they’re changing speeds like going super slow on the parts dominated by 8th notes but the pizzicato part sounds normal-
The bass was too high up for the bass players the lowest peg is supposed to be near the ear
Is the tempo slower here?
UWU Uwu i guess because it’s a big orchestra
@@hermergur it actually doesn’t matter the size of the orchestra. Back when I played this song, we had the same tempo they did. But it was at the end of the year, so we didn’t get to play much. But then we got to go to summer camp where we did a concert with our rival school and they’re tempo was much faster than ours and so we had to play a fast tempo with them.
It sounds better if you put it on 1.5 speed, that is the original tempo :)
We're doing this song in my orchestra and I'm so exited!!
nice
Oh man I wanted this spot
