@@lbenx I've just checked when the sun rises and when it sets in California. Days are short, it takes plants much longer to grow during short days. Even when You have nice temperature 🙂 Be patient, they will get going 🌱🍅🍀

Those are wood shavings. They serve as mulch.

I don’t know how you do it! But my day 20+ still looks like the day it sprouted.

@ I’m in California so it’s about 60-70s now and they sit outside in the sun most of the day. Maybe the soil.

It’s mostly compost 🙂🌱
Why do you water then put the dirt on the seedlings?
When the soil is not particulary moist, I like to make sure the roots are surrounded by wet soil after transplanting.
It acts as a good Mulch.which keeps the Soil moist and microbes to multiple.
The same question why after watering, you cover the soil surface
