We had loads of the ball but were poor in the final third, you had that spell for 20/25 minutes where every time you went forward you looked like scoring and really took the game to us. He may have thought the contact was too minor to bring Hirst down (I don't agree I think it definitely is a pen & I'm playing devil's advocate here) at a good angle that's clearly a penalty at that angle, maybe seems less clear? (Edit) from that angle as well, does it look like a nick from the defender?
That was so unlucky by Leif and Chappers, but definitely should have been a penalty. But a great win to start what is going to be a long and hard season COYB
Ipswich should of had a pen for sure, I was screaming at my TV aswell as my dad but overall it was a good victory for Ipswich and a very good start for hladky in his first game of the championship

The way Ipswich played with one man advantage was shocking. It's unbelievable how sissy Ipswich players are when put under pressure. I don't understand how they tend to forget what football is all about when 90 minutes hit the clock. I repeat myself - psychologically just always play it like it's a 0:0. Forget about time, forget about result. Don't overthink it. If your brain is your own enemy, don't use it. Having one more man on the pitch is the best time to play possession football, use wings with more space. Long balls to their defenders were horrible way to play. Some players were giving ball away for free with every touch. There are too many League One players in the team. 4 out of 5 substitutes looked much worse than players in the first 11. Now that Walton is out Ipswich need quality replacement as Hladky is unreliable. McKenna has faith in him and he will regret it. I never really rated Gerken but he was a much better second choice goalkeeper. Ipswich were missing Clarke. Unless there are some good transfers in next few weeks it's going to be tough to get what bookies are predicting for Town. Harness and Hutchinson replaced Chaplin and Broadhead. If it means that Aluko and Edwards are even worse that makes me wonder what's the point on holding onto them in the Championship. I can't believe Edwards wasn't even on the bench. Hutchinson was a bit unlucky that Morsy didn't know where to run when they were together against one defender. Use empty space - go freaking more wide man, far from single defender to be unmarked. Davis was my man of the match. Last season I thought Greg Leigh deserved to play more but after this game I think Davis is much better player. I was surprised to see him making many brave runs. All other Ipswich players will have to follow his improvement.
