Oh man Brenda, I went online after I read your comment and ALMOST bought more. Haha, but, luckily, I put my phone down. I already have two more orders on the way. I am really enjoying this new outlet for sure, and organization is right up my alley!

A Girl and a Glue Gun has a series called Silhouette Love on her TH-cam page that has step by step instructions as to how to use your Cameo. Good luck!!

Great solutions! I’ve learned when I don’t sort or organize I’m in danger of accidentally rebuying the same things. Glad to know I’m consistent at least! 🤣

Haha, that's funny. Yes, I agree, I am prone to doubling up on what I purchase on accident.

Ok, now is the time for me to fess up... I have not understood why there was a category of planners? I’m seeing now that it’s clearly not just about getting the kids to soccer practice or us to doctors. I like the way you explain things and clearly I am behind the times... could you explain, or direct me where to go, to find out what planners are about? What the goal of working with planners is? Can you have just one? Or do you need multiples? That sort of thing.... I feel woefully left behind.

Hopefully I’ll save you hundreds of dolllars by warning you to be careful going forward with your planner investigation as it can quickly become an addiction collecting and organizing cutesy supplies which then can take up an awful lot of extra time and energy as you essentially take the fun right out of functional and you can end up with a cute spread but without the necessary room to actually keep track of schedules, actions, and everyday life. I’m currently finding a much needed balance so that I can enjoy the creative element and versatility the Happy Planner line brings to the planning world but still allowing for functionality . I used a 7-ring 8.5 x 5.5 Day-Timer planner for many, many years which worked beautifully and I could always find what I needed and knew what I was doing and when I was doing it... but... life happens and our day to day needs are always changing. The key is to be able to adapt your planning style to wherever life is currently taking you. I struggled to find a system that works and bought a ton of self help organizational books and supplies. I used a “Planner Pad” for a few years that mostly worked for me but overall I found that it’s difficult to find the “perfect” planner so... my advice is to choose the best layout that you think fits your life and, Make It Work... modify and tweak where need be but the main thing is to USE it! I highly recommend David Allen’s, GETTING THINGS DONE, which was the resource that helped me to GTD. It’s a simple, common sense approach to tracking everyday life. If you are new to “planning” I strongly suggest ONE planner with the ability to have a tabbed section for holding your key information, action lists, notes, chore schedules, birthday reminders, goals, etc. Multiple planners have the strong potential to create confusion and overwhelm which is counterproductive. With that said, there are times when a specialty notebook or planner can be beneficial and useful depending on its purpose. For example, Happy Planner makes a variety of options of specialty planners such as Faith, Wellness/Fitness, Teaching, Budget, Recovery, etc. as well as various prompt journals. The disc system in general is fantastic which I originally discovered through the Levenger company and I have used their products for years. Love it! The HP disc system started out awful as it was so hard to turn the pages on the discs but it has improved in the last couple of years and metal discs work better than the plastic ones. So... sticker books... I gotta say... I do love them! They are usually on sale at Michaels and JoAnnes and you can find good prices on eBay as well. They are the most addicting of the HP supplies... there are so many options available but depending on your specific needs, I would suggest starting with one of the 100 sheet value books that has a variety of both cute and functional sticker options (PPSV-9001 Brights is my favorite) and a seasonal option would be nice. I also personally love Planner Babe, Household, Budget/Savvy Saver, and Super Mom. One of the problems with having too many options is remembering which book has that perfect sticker you want to use and you spend time flipping and flipping to find it! LOL ok... best of luck on your planner journey. Have a great day and stay safe. 🙂

Like Sue said, there can certainly be a tendency to fall down a rabbit hole, but I am very much enjoying working in my planners. I have multiple ones for different parts of my life, but it is all up to you and what fits your lifestyle. That is why I really enjoy Happy Planner, because there is a lot of options and an ability to customize what you need your planner to be! I am hoping to do more planner videos in the new year, but you can certainly check out the happy planner website to see the options they have.
