Car shows are cool. But what's been going on with us here in the 303(Denver) is like you said, there's a car show EVERY WEEKEND! And now we have 3 super shows in our state alone! It's crazy. Me personally I get burnt out to quickly when that happens. I would much rather to cruise around and go have a BBQ at the park.
I used to like the car shows I've stopped going to him a long time ago ever since they changed the lowrider venue in My Town Colorado DenverI'm old school lowrider when all's we did was Cruise the streets and go to the parks on weekends to show off our rides used to cruise a 53 Chevy white with pearl red I am 55 years old now and I'm currently building a couple of lowriders for my grandkids the 64 Impala that is nearly show quality that will be on the streets cruising do not plan on putting it in any shows although I will drive it to the show I like the fact that you're your own man and do things your way people are going to do and say what they want all that matters is that you and your family is happy also I am doing all the work myself because I found that it's hard to find anybody to trust to do things right and the prices that people are charging nowadays are ridiculous I have no problem paying somebody with their worth if you're good at what you do you deserve top dollar
For my son's but all my vehicles we drive i don't care about the big shows just little ones for the day 3 son's like we have the goodguys show me an my grandfather went to way to much money to spend
Interested topic sir. Personally I dont care about car shows. Never really have. In the past recent years I've ventured out to 1 show per year, and the traveling and getting out of the house with friends has been the reason why. I don't understand paying someone to park your car. And often times the promoter does not have a car they themselves are showing. They usually don't know dick about building a car, much like photographers.
Every weekend I go to a show is less time I’m putting into building my cars. They are just loosing their flash for me when there is a new one every two days that’s shoved in your face online.
Man “Super Shows” are boring to me now , how many times can you walk around a see the same cars that show over and over. I’d rather hit a cruise or picnic
The only point of charging I’m my honest opinion is so the winners can have a cash pay out. I noticed the cashe pay out is going down and the price is going up, the vendors getting greedy. My opinion on the lowrider vs original lowrider is the whole lowrider show was only fun and only worth it when they did the tour. The one n only lowrider tours.
I hear you. Some simple math on the amount of cars and people these bigger shows pull in, they are pulling 50-80k on these shows. Now I know it costs a ton of money to rent out these big convention centers, pay for insurance, pay for entertainment, security, and all the help. But still that’s big money at the end of it.
Personally not a fan of car shows really couldn’t care less. Ill go to local ones i like to support those forsure but dont care about those supershows not into towing my car there to put it on display etc etc … never was my intention when building my lowrider. It’s all about the STREETS just riding around enjoying it day to day. Idgaf about some trophy from a car show thats gunna collect dust on a shelf at the crib LOL. Now the peoples faces when im out sliding around town that does mean something to me, more than a trophy ever will.
Aside from that its like u said all these shows popping up cause people wanna make $ from it. It is what it is. I wont knock anyones hustle im just not gunna pull up.
It’s how it feels being a local artist too, you pay and put the time in making the music and earning fans and putting together a show, and often these promoters only want to book local openers that will either flat out pay to open or do thier job promoting and selling tickets, while they still collect a check with the draw of the bigger name headliner. I don’t mind paying some to enter a show, but I know that for the average person, they’re less likely to pay much more than 5-10 bucks to walk through the doors just to see some cool cars.
I love them I been going to shows since I was a kid I been in many shows as well from model cars to bicycles to selling things cars etc. Detroit autorama famous custom car show here is pretty stayed the same price went up but the entry price and table rental pretty much stayed the same I believe went up a few bucks but over all still very well affordable. But anyway it's a hobby a love a passion and it's part of my personality
See there’s the problem I’m talking about. One of the local OGs in my area is having his show the same day as the Chicago show. I’d like to go to the Chicago show too but don’t want to be disrespectful to a local og. Too many shows lol.
@@RJTickler that sucks. But I think you should go to the Chicago show because it will be bigger and you’ll meet more people. I think your local crew would understand that. Especially since you probably know them all

thats why i prefer picnics, bunch of cars food & you don’t have to pay to get inn

@@RJTickler all that money just for the pay out to be a few hundred bucks realistically it wouldn’t surprise me if there pocketing over 30k a show

Some sponsors just do it to enter there own car then win the car show.then take the money.
