As each state has its own unique demographics and social inclusions including technology penetration - and sample sizes are usually much smaller than national polls. So, it's no cookie cutter going to from one state to another. On a national poll you usually have a much bigger sample and can get a better overview. That is why there is usually a 4-5% margin of error in state polls, vs ~3% in national polls - according to Rasmussen. That is one reason why they focus on the national daily polls. To win the electoral college a Democrat will usually have to be up by 3-5% in the popular vote because of how skewed the big blue states are in voting for one party. That means if Trump is up by 2% nationally, Harris will need to gain 5-7% in the popular vote to be range for an electoral college victory. That's the take of it I got from listening to Rasmussen...

The first debate was an excellent move. Democrats are in disarray. There is infighting. The current phase is called "relieving the marks". Once they realize they have been taken (post debate #2) the D Party pretty much falls apart. Trump is a MASTER STRATEGIST. And he has Musk by his side and Zuck sitting this one out. I think we will come out all right. As usual "it will be a close run thing".

Hey DG, not sure if you’ll see this but the Cook polls do something unbelievably disingenuous not related to release date. Out of everyone they polled, they only polled 7% Hispanics. They had more than double Black respondents than the second largest voting bloc in the country
