I showed up for a cancelled Bible study at Sevin’s house. I was the only one who never received the message. He let me in his home and we chopped it up for an hour or two. I remember leaving thinking about a lot of things on my way home. But that was the beginning of me eventually submitting my life fully to God a few years later. Praise God!

I remember 2003/2004 .. this Man would drop his music an so many christians would hate on him. He touched me! I came from that dark home, friends gang banging. Friends dying. So his music kept me focused! The lord used this man to touch so many broken men in these streets! SO many were Saying he's not being that stereo type christian. But here we are 20 plus years still HOD MOB!!!! POWERFUL!

Das right 😊. The crazy thang is there were “Christians” that were puttin dirt on his name tellin other artists n’ people to stay away from him tryna make him look bad cuz HE WAS ACTUALLY DOING THE RIGHT THING which other Christian’s were too SCARED to do.exposing them like Pharisees simply thru his righteous actions n’ they hated him for it.Just like Jesus did.❤❤❤ all praises to the MOST HIGH GOD for HIS true vessels 🚢

I thank god for brothers like him. We are refined by fire. Not that it feels fine at the time. It sharpens us.
It molds us into his likeness. For his ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts. In the rough times, it causes us to grow. Like the weight lifter who gets Sore
      After a workout.

Sometimes it’s water, sometimes it’s fire, it might depend on where you’re at or what season in corespondent to the things of Gos and where he’s taking you at the time or what your strengths or weaknesses, struggles or afflictions are, and what’s weighing on your heart strings…

I feel you guys. I feel your pain. I feel your hapiness and joy. I know what you're talking about most of the time more than not. I was just more the healer in the family. I didn't want to be a rebel. I just wanted to love everyone better and our family was so broken we couldn't fix it very much even if our lives depended on it, like nothing in the world was ever able to fix our family or make it much better. So, even though I don't feel like I necessairly grew up in the hood exactly I still feel we lived it you know, so yeah... any of you who have turned your lives around or found better or different ways to live or make a difference, I'm really really proud of you, and very inspired. thank you so much.

I'm so glad you brought up the motivation of a salary. That's why I stopped gospel rap for a while because that wasn't my motivation and I thought well if its going to be like secular music I may as well go back to secular. Granted that was the wrong route, because I put the money not in place of God, but I backslid into a lifestyle I hated for the sake of feeding my kids and I...but thankfully Christ pulled me out as I was getting closer but I was falling into the life that would eventually take my soul. I never wanted fame just money but I always wanted to Pac or Bone Thug it to the top, but God said no...again...and I stopped music. Like Sevin said if your favor ain't on my labor...if God wasn't pulling the strings I didn't and don't want it. God is calling me to use my gift but now I'm in school to get a degree and God willing employ those who put God first, and my music and business is only to lift Him up, I don't even want my face on it...but I'm doing it to feed my family in Christ, and if not idc I'm still sharing The Gospel broke or paid because God is life and nothing else satisfies the soul and people need to know that for real. Apologies for long message just wanted to share. Much love to everyone on this interview.

Awesome testimony! Thank you for sharing it! I love the twin analogy. I am going to use that.
Dude you just wrote my book except the moving around part. I was sexually abused when i was 5 years old. i told people and was called gay and made fun of to in a nightmarish way and seemed like everyone knew about. Grew up in a very small town population was 5,000 people. I grew up on an island in the pacific North West.
I talk about it almost never.
i went to church up until i was old enough to stay home with having to be baby sat. Started partying very young. Almost dropped out of school. If there were gangs around me when i was growing up i would have joined in a heart beat.
My dad died of cancer when i was 22 years sand i moved to Florida shortly after mainly because i got DUI and couldn’t face the small town people judging me any more. lived in Florida for 29 years where everyone back there in the early 1990s was criminal. I got job telemarketing making more money than my dad made. Got addicted to crack cocaine and was obsessed with it. I would always pay my rent but all my extra money went to buy crack. I begged God to remove it from me, but i didn’t even know who God was. I probably spent millions of dollars over 30 years on crack. I would try to quit and in my sleep i would dream about it and in my dreams i would always wake up right before i was about ready to take my first hit. What hideous addiction, the mental addiction was so strong. i really didn’t want to do it because i always had nothing and no real friends, it was a nightmare. i ended up catching a federal case for mail fraud because of a business i was involved in and spent 3 years in federal prison. While i was there i learned who Jesus Christ was. There was a pastor in prison who was preaching an anti government message. The feds caught on somehow and charge him with tax evasion. He took a vow of poverty and had nothing. He lived in the basement of his church with wife and kids. He seemed genuine to be and one Sunday they let him preach in the prison and his sermon helped me figure out who Jesus Christ is! A question i had been asking for years. Jesus is was and always will be. John chapter one lays it down. Jesus Christ is God the creator the almighty. Changed my life a lot. i got out of the on fire with faith. I never worried about a thing coz i knew Jesus had my back no matter what the problem was He would always work things out for me. HOWEVER the obsession crack never left me and i battled against that for another 8 years. i started my own business and became super successful. My business has made millions over the past 15 years. Two years into it i met a girl who was a bad addict. We brought each down waaay down. Smoking crack and shooting cocaine. Again i was right back to where i was behind prison. All my money was going to drugs. my girlfriend got addicted to heroine and stole hundred of thousands of dollars from me. Before cv19 i was clean and sober again watch the scam hit the world and i knew what it really was and is so do you guys. I was trying to convince people and a lot of people did listen to me and Gid helped me convince them everyone but my family. I have six older brothers and sisters and they made fun of me and one of my brothers stopped talking to me. I fell off the deep end not with crack or heroine but with speed l which i am still battling today. I still have a successful business, i still pray all the time. i study the bible and i have faith in Christ for my salvation and everything else. Why won’t God remove this from me? I am not gonna worry about it eventually he will help me quit. He got me through this far. i surged crack addictions very short addiction to fentanyl i OD’ed twice. I don’t drink anymore or do anything but speed. I know i am not going to hell because of it, but i don’t want to be naked in heaven because of my shame. I don’t steal anything from anyone. i am a responsible bill paying business owner. I don’t want to get left behind when the thief comes to steal me us away because of what i am doing. Pray for me please as i will for all u.
Sevin music touches my soul. He’s the real deal in my opinion. There is no way Sevin could come up with those words if he didn’t have the Holy Spirit. Prison gave me the opportunity to study the bible in depth and helped me really get know God. Jesus is Lord/God Almighty!

    Proverbs 19:
1 Better is the poor walking in his integrity Than one of perverse lips, who is a fool.
2 Also, desire without knowledge is not good; And he who hurries with his feet sins.
3 The foolishness of a man perverts his way, And his heart is wroth against יהוה.
4 Wealth adds many friends, But the poor is separated from his friend.
5 A false witness does not go unpunished, And he who breaths out lies does not escape.
6 Many entreat the favour of the noble. And all are friends to him who gives gifts.
7 All the brothers of the poor shall hate him; How much more shall his friends go far from him! He pursues promises - they are gone!.

Thank you for the post and for Sevin transparent. It can be very hard to be transparent for some of us because of who we are around. The disciples probably felt the same way, but when you have a person wanting and following Jesus Christ it brings true fellowship in the mist of others. We love you Sevin and are grateful that you are on Jesus team forever! Amen.

Sevin I also had Jesus came right away with his hug and took away the spirit of the enemy out of me.. yes I had a dark sprit that went in me I started to feel trapped in my body while my body was being used and I'm just locked up inside of me . I went to a catholic church because that's all I knew about God but I never went to church . But I went to church that one time I looked up to the center of the building and I said Jesus I don't know you but if you exist take out this thing that's inside of me and in a rush he touch me and layd me down and I was being cleans. When it was done I felt clean and I felt loved and after that I had a hunger for Jesus.

When I hear stories of someone being sexually abusive or abused, physically abusive or abused, when it comes to animals or all kinds of things, I look deeper than the surface. I know that symptomatic prognoses and diagnostic criteria’s or profiles of a person or idea of a type, can’t do humanity the justice it deserves.
I depend on the creation creator relationship dynamic, the heart and mind of God, the things of the spirit,’the spiritual eyes and ears, just as much if not more than any book knowledge or worldly knowledge….
Cause the enemy is a master of if not complete lies, in being the prince of lies, deceiver and destroyer of this world, is a master at half truths or truths that fall short of a more real thing, and it’s imperative to discern the spirits sometimes with whatever wisdoms in what our creator gives us.

I can relate about not loving yourself and fitting in. My dad was a rich man and my mom was a prostitute heroin addict and I had to go to the country clubs and be proper one week and the next week I had to live with my mom and entertain her life and I was so confused about who to be. I ended up just wanting to die cause I hated myself and didn't trust anyone until I found my first love and that is the Lord! Thank God he loves us for who we are. It was more of a social club sometimes for my parents or moral place to send kids…. They’d ground us from church and I’d feel grievance over going or not, then they’d unground me and figured,”well it’s probably good for her so why not?”

You encourage me bro. I'm a born again believer, but I don't think that I've actually had an encounter with Christ. After hearing your testimony, now I really want that encounter 💯

In Texas there’s always bars on the school windows and metal detectors and cops. I enjoyed the lightning storms and rain. I’d run away sometimes and try to ration an orange, it didn’t work very well.

In the bay there was gang culture. It was in the east side of San Jose CA. There were Norteneos, Crips, and surenos. Everything during that time in the 80's & 90's San Jose saw a large growth of gang cultures in the east side alone.
