There are usually severe tornadoes in the winter months, in Dixie Aley, during strong La Nina years. I include Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky when talking about Dixie Aley.
OK got it...maybe something to do with the contrast in temperatures from hot vapour from the gulf into freezing conditions into those more elevated areas....IDK
Tornadoes can happen at any time of the year here in the US. It's just Tornado season (March, April, May) and little bit of November is the most common and where the big ones form.
@@S1D3W1ND3R015I’m from Minnesota and I’ll probably never forget how December 15th 2021 we got a tornado warning just as my family was getting home from an appointment. It was like 7:30 at night and what made this so terrifying is that my first little baby was only 3 weeks old at the time. As a brand new mom I felt so helpless. Thankfully it didn’t amount to anything in my area, but the feeling will stick with me. This summer I was watching a max stream and he said my city name had rotation (unwarned) heading into it and in the middle of the afternoon watching it go from cloudy to black and sideways rain was horrifying as well.
Im in east Texas we almost had action on Christmas eve,we had a beautiful Christmas day then today was rather stormy,no tornados but we did have the winds and flooding, extreme weather is an understatement. Lead on God cuz all this is beyond our own understanding
Driving tips? I’m in BatonRouge trying to head west to Texas. I-10 looks like it has some rain but stays south of the activity. Thanks. Getting ready to head to Lafayette and stopping to see conditions. Thanks
If you don't have a basement or storm shelter get into the bathroom and hide in the bathtub if it's the heavy variety. In Australia we have separate room for the toilet and that's the best room because the construction is so tight and therefore stronger. But in the US you seem to have the toilet in the bathroom...
Growing up in the area, they’re normal to me but a lot of people don’t like driving over the older one bc it’s so high. When I was a kid all we had was the older one and it was one lane each way. That was back when cars were huge.
Hey guys, just after this stream ended, I think a small town in Louisiana called Jonesville might have been hit by an unwarned tornado. If anyone has any information about if something happened, please let me know.
Why am I getting so many ads during the live stream??? I've been with Max velocity since the beginning and I don't ever remember getting one ad during a live stream before.... Edit: wanted to add that I get that not only is this his passion, but a job. So I get that this is how he makes a living. I will watch the ads too, to support the channel because it's a great one💯 The only thing is during a severe weather event (specifically tornado warnings) every second matters.
I live in the area thank you for covering this
Stay safe. 🩷
As Ellen stated, please stay safe. I am in Louisiana also but I am in Kenner.
Thanks!
Thank you for your generosity!
Thanks for the heads up @Max Velocity I got lucky with the tornado went 2 miles north of me here in Alvin.

At this time of year? We're having fires in Australia and you've got tornadoes? Extreme weather. Our worst weather is usually in February.
Yeah welcome to the U.S 😅

Happens every year. There's two tornado seasons here.

I live in central Texas. The lift in these storm clouds is so high, I can see them from 240 miles away from the west. Praying for Alexandria.
