It did make a great restoration...you did a fine job...definitely a transitional plane I'd say a stanley the name is usually on the front stamped into the wood...good job ...🖖
That came out fantastic Mr. John! It was in really sad shape when you got it. Glad you could bring it back. I know you wanted that first stain but sometimes it just doesn't go on and look the way we want it. That Deox C works great and it really is a lot cheaper. Take care Buddy!

Looks likeni may have to order some to work with. Sometimes it takes 2,3 or 4 takes.thats the fun of working with things is seeing something until it's where you like it..

Nice Job Sometimes those old wooden planes just need alittle love. I normally use boil linseed oil and paste wax finish on these old tools . The makers mark is normally stamped in the front. But looks like a Stanley or Ohio tool model
