I lived in rethimno since 2007, but I’m happy in Athens now, if you’re a tourist and u come here it’s better if u have a car and go around crete, also rethimno is the worst for living, but if u go for vacation for 1 week it’s good. You don’t have much to see here
Hi we rented a car and we enjoyed exploring the island! You can watch some of the other videos in our Greek playlist to see if we went to any of your favorite spots 😊 We actually really enjoyed Rethymno and stayed there for 4 weeks. We found the location good on the island, it was fairly compact town so we could walk to the beach and old town. Chania might be a bit more picturesque, but we found busier. Heraklion, we didn't care for. So we actually were glad we chose Rethymno as our home on Crete 💓
@pelayia we loved Greece in general, but the people were the highlight! The Greek hospitality is one of a kind. We felt so welcomed, everyone was so kind, especially towards our children. We'd love to return 💓
I believe it was around $1,200 USD. Here is the link for the current Air B&B prices. www.airbnb.com/rooms/856282425072645774?source_impression_id=p3_1716128813_BMxPLvB18oQuEnDW
Crete should become autonomous and break away from Greece. Compared to mainland Greece, Cretans are a civilized people. Whilst they want and need the tourist dollar, they want to satisfy you first. Was there in 2023, and will go back again. Chania in my opinion has a lot more to offer.
"Compared to mainland Greece, Cretans are a civilized people". If you fail to realize that there are civilized as well as uncivilized people everywhere (apparently also where you are from), than you are just plain stupid.

Def did good choosing where you stayed...I'm sure many families will want to follow your lead ☺️
Definitely a family friendly Island. We visited Santorini after Crete and while it was beautiful it Definitely wasn't as kid friendly....
Rethymno was an Amazing home base to explore the Greek Island of Crete! We really felt at home by the end of our month we spent there!❤
Love Rethymno. The people, food and beach are great!
Loved the historic apartment there and the beach was nice there too!
@ChrisWilliamsLV Rethymno definitely has a lot offer in many aspects!

So glad you enjoyed the video! We loved our stay in Rethymno. Beautiful place! ❤️
Such a nice content!! One small remark - that greek wrapped food is not called Eyros, but Gyros 🌯
Hi so glad you enjoyed the video! It's spelled with a G but we were told by the Greeks the G is silent 😅
🖐🖐🖐

Hi hope you enjoyed the video :) We loved exploring Crete and you can check out our video on Chania and all the other wonderful places we visited.
Careful with the violent locals. Lot's of tourists have been sent to hospitals.
Thank you for your concern! We were there a year ago for a month, and thankfully, we only encountered the nicest locals.
Are those your original teeth or were they made in a lab in texas?
All original 😁

We visited Chania as well and really enjoyed it! Although it was busier and more crowded so we were happy staying in Rethymno instead.
