So I just had a long day of finals, and this was great to come back to. Yeah, that post-midboss section was supposed to be there for resource gathering, but I totally should've put something a bit more unique at the start of it. The lag with >900 or so bullets on screen is something that I thought was a Game Maker problem, but I'm taking steps to ensure that doesn't happen in the future ;) The dialogue boxes here were definitely an experiment, in the future I'm going with portraits. I just didn't like how the portraits looked with my textboxes so I decided to try something different. Also, yeah, that midfight dialogue skip was a little silly. Thank you so much for playing it, Omega! I look forward to the eventual day that Return of Eastern Wonderland appears on this channel.
Yeaaah, it's a good attempt but really needs some polish, especially around the textboxes (you can see that their text changes position AFTER the dialogue within them changes) and general framerate issues. Still, a commendable effort, and from experience sometimes "just making it yourself" is easier than learning an entirely new scripting language like the one that Danmakufu has. e: that left-hand alignment on the spellcard timer that causes it to overlap the decimal point on the last spellcard really irks me and I can't tell why
Well, I'm always working on improvement! Dialogue boxes are a tricky beast for me, and by the time something from me appears again I should have it down. Framerate issues will be fixed in my next projects, though, I can guarantee it. I noticed some major points of improvement on performance, and am still working out the kinks.

I actually like it when a Danmaku game lags. It’s like a power that slowly everything to get hyper focused
