I would suggest taking some alcohol or slip solution and wiping off the part of the foil that touches the nail making sure it is really clean before applying the foil. Doing this will make sure there's no dust or any kind of hairs or anything on the foil because it will not transfer over if there's a particle on it. Do not use acetone because it will take up the design and then you've wasted part of your foil
Makartt is my go to and works great for me. The one with the yellow label sucks, I just got the born pretty to try just to see if there is a viable alternative to makartt.
I have the Born Pretty transfer gel, and I don't find it nearly as good as the Makartt one. It seems hard to work with to get a full image transfer. I wouldn't recommend it. I do like the Born Pretty foils, though, they seem to work well. Makartt tends to have some good sales through Amazon for Black Friday, Prime Day, etc.
What do you use for a top coat. I used mark art... Same thing she uses in video over dip with dip top coat. Came out bad. Next time will use gel top coat and cure
How long should I cure the nail foil transfer gel in a LED/CCFL lamp? My lamp takes 20 secs for colour and top and base. 30 seconds for really dark colours. I can't work out how long I should be cutting transfer gel in such a powerful lamp
you'll have to play around and see what works for your lamp. for foils I usually cure longer than I would just polish. and let it cool for about 20 secs about you remove it from the lamp
Just drove me crazy how out of focus lol. So how long did you cure the makartt for. I missed it. I have it and I've tried and can't get it to work good
Amazon has a complete foil kit for $19.78..it come with 3 boxes of foils, base and top gels, and 2 bottles of foil glue and a silicone tool...yes all of that for $19.78
What keeps it sealed in after the foil is transferred? I have done this before with a no lamp type of foil adhesive, put topcoat over it and it bubbled underneath and then melted off…
@@jaedoesnails219 Oh I’m trying not to use gel, just regular polish. I figure there has to be a way to do this without a gel or a lamp. Been experimenting with regular topcoat/basecoat, leaving it a bit tacky and then putting the foil on top of that but I don’t always get the right timing and end up pulling off the polish with the foil… But if I can get the timing down right, then I just topcoat seal it with regular polish. Seems they don’t know how to make a foil adhesive that isn’t rubber based.… And because it never dries, sealing it just makes it bubble.
I find the Makartt works the best, the Star Glue goes on really streaky therefore you don’t get a full coverage when you transfer the foil. Either way I’ve never been able to get a perfect transfer on my actual nail but it works great every time when I’m practicing it on the nail tips.
Yes! The Makartt has been my favourite one thus far. But maybe it’s because our actual nails don’t have as much space as say a nail tip so it doesn’t stick as well
Hello I've been watching your program very good I was wondering what is the best filter glue to use I've been using the Clare one but a fine using the white one doesn't stick on the thin
LOL you're adorable to watch..hello from Ontario I shop on Aliexpress all the time. The Born Pretty one you have I'm waiting for in the mail. I was told to cure for 60 second and no longer. The longer the less tacky I assume and the voltage of your lamp. I bought a crap load of foils and supplies during the last sale to practice to see if I like it. My daughter wears stiletto and coffin styles. Also Markartt is also sold on aliexpress. I'm pretty sure it's an offical store. Just type in the name it'll come up. Shipping can take foreverrrrrrr though. The floral foil you used looks awesome on white! Amazon is good for a quick shipping route but damn! they're expensive. Then again our dollar sucks right now. I buy 90% of my "all over" crafting supplies there. Water color art journaling stuff like. I'll be checking out some of your other videos. TFS!
Heyyy from Toronto!! Girl aliexpress stays taking my money, I’m waiting on a born pretty package right now 😂😂. Thanks for the tip, and lol I always thought the markartt on aliexpress was fake. Thanks so much to watching 🥰🥰
@@jaedoesnails219 Makartt products are all genuine. Amazon charges more because of the perks of shipping..The have an official store in China and US. The also combine the shipping costs which I like.

Thank you so much for the video! I was having such a hard time! Your voice is soothing and comforting and your adorable, AWSOME!
You're so sweet!! Thank you for watching!
I have a strong lamp and I think 60 sec is too long for my lamp. Maybe I'll try 20

Did we need to dry under lamp 30 secnd after applying glue?
If it’s needs to be cured I find at least 60 seconds but I like to do 2 mins so it’s very tacky and let it cool down before putting on the foil
