- Highlights meiner Erfahrung aus dem niedersachsen derby in der 2. bundesliga zwischen dem Hannover 96 und eintracht braunschweig. Das Spiel endete mit einem 1:1 durch Tore von Anthony Ujah und Havard Nielsen. Die Atmosphäre war auf einer anderen Ebene. Ein besonderes Dankeschön an all die freundlichen Fans, die ich getroffen habe. Ich hoffe, Sie in Zukunft wiederzusehen!

Highlights of my experience from the Lower Saxony derby in the 2nd Bundesliga between Hannover 96 and Eintracht Braunschweig. The match ended in a 1-1 by goals of anthony Ujah and havard nielsen. The atmosphere was on another level. A special thank you to all the kind fans I met. I hope to see you again in the future!

This is the SECOND league in Germany. I don’t know anymore but what a crazy scenes🤭😲.
Doesn't matter which league, when these two clash, it's always special. Reason is, as the guy in the beginning said: This derby isn't played all that often. Over the last 20 years, Hannover and Braunschweig didn't usually play in the same league. In this century, this was only the 8th match between them (once DFB-Pokal, twice 1. Bundesliga, now the fifth match in the 2. Bundesliga). Out of those, Hannover won three, three were tied and two were won by Braunschweig.
The citys are hating each other for hundreds of years
Reason: Hannover is the capital city of the german state Lower Saxony. When the Bundesliga was founded, there were 18 Founding Teams. Everyone expected Hannover to be one of them, as its the capital city of a state, while Braunschweig is just a city in that state. But in the end Braunschweig was called a founding team instead of Hannover. Hannover fans were furious about. Thats the reason for the Niedersachsenderby (LowerSaxonyDerby)
That was the most friendly atmosphere in an outside the stadium in the last 20 years.

Ich erinner mich noch daran als die Braunschweiger damals den abgetrennten Schweinekopf aus der S-Bahn geworfen haben :D

Es ist sogar gleichzusetzten mit Dortmund - Schalke, wenn nicht sogar noch krasser aufgrund der Geschichte der Städte zueinander.
Es ist mit dem Revier Derby das krasseste aus Deutschland. Auch wenn es 2. liga ist
Ha doch des isch doch bekannt. Hannover- Braunschweig, Nürnberg- Fürth, Osnabrück- Münster sind nicht weniger heftig wie HSV- Bremen oder S o4 - BVB

This Derby is so Intense beacause the Rivalry between the Cities Braunschweig and Hannover goes way back before football even existed. It was even before the foundation of anything near a German State that these 2 Cities were rivals. They were in a constant clash and even in peace times, they fought over who's gonna be capital of lower saxony, for example.

As a matter of fact... some years ago those matches were mutch more intense in and outside the stadium but the authorities learned their lessons and act quite consequent these days 😅

Im Endeffekt ging alles friedlich aus. Die Fan Choreos waren richtig gut! Und nach dem Spiel gingen alle friedlich nach Hause!
Dank einer massiven und klugen Einsatztaktik der Polizei blieb alles friedlich, das sollte man schon dazusagen.
@@lausimeyer6558 Was so nicht stimmt. Das es friedlich blieb ist einzig und allein auf die Entscheidung der Fanlager zurückzuführen, dass man sich auf den Stadionauftritt konzentrieren will und keinen Nebenschauplatz eröffnen wollte.

*Choreography explanation*: the Braunschweig fans showed a banner with Hannovers town hall up in flames, later they held up a banner saying „the queen also did it, whole England in shards, being 96 means to be dead“, obviously a hint to the club of Hanover. The Hanover fans‘ big choreography showed a man on a horse (which is symbolic for the town of Hanover) who separated a lion‘s head with his weapon. The lion is the heraldic animal of Braunschweig. Underneath there was a banner saying „eternal glory to all those who defeat the beast“. Also Hanover Ultras showed a banner with „death and hatred the BTSV“ on it.
I think this all shows the rivalry and hate between these clubs quite well. 😅
