The whole sexualisation thing started in the late 80s early 90s... In fact the decade was known for it. I clearly remember some hot capping websites back in the day with pictures of athlete rears. On one of those sites Fiona May was known as the "wedgie queen" so you be the judge lol... The uniforms they wore most of the time were more rigid but they certainly weren't wedgie proof. I remember that women wore more "relaxing" underwear at smaller meets whereas they would cover themselves up on the bigger stage. Indoor and smaller meets is where the good stuff was happening. And when it comes to all 4 position it was definitely present during the era just look for other competitions during that time and you will see. Sport was sexualised way before but the 80s is where people realised its happening.
