This was mine and my girls favorite room in the whole building. There is a walk-in cooler in the kitchen, and, its not cold at all, but it is the most chill room in the entire building. We wanted to spend a whole hour in there but we wanted others to experience it too!!
THIS. THIS is what I want to see more of in the world. I have been lamenting for years (even before I, myself, wound up with impaired mobility, because I have worked with many disabled kids over the last two decades) that entertainment venues don't think of anyone but able-bodied folks. If they think of us disabled peeps at all, we are an afterthought, at best. (This pandemic has really driven home the notion that our society is NOT READY for the inevitable increase in chronically ill folks who need various accommodations to survive on the daily.) Anyway, artists like y'all are the reason that Meow Wolf installations have moved to the very top of my bucket list. You all make everyone feel like the experience was made with ALL sorts of people in mind, not just the able-bodied and the neurotypical. Thank you. 💚
I really hope I can bring my walker and enjoy the whole art piece and this is encouraging If I can afford to get a wheelchair to Denver it would be nice
@@wheelchairsportscamp Have you ever considered asking wheelchair owners to donate their used ones? I have friends that get new ones every few years with Medicaid. It just cost me over $2,000 for an electric one. Yikes! They are expensive! I’ve only used a manual one before, and saved up so my husband wouldn’t have to wheel me around everywhere.
Are you kidding me? I was at meow wolf on opening night and KNEW there was a "reason" for this room. Had no idea and now... *Soon as I wipe the tears away fully, I'll need to go back and see this amazing art once more. *I can't wait until meow wolf is in every city. This was my FAVORITE space and that CHILL OUT box was amazing. We sang Hopelandic songs and found peace in the box. I have limited mobility and limited vision, so this entire video makes my heart sing with love and kindship.
