    Hi, I am a Canadian who spent most of my life overseas and thus my experience is not Canadian. I am looking to migrate back home and would like to get some Canadian courses under my belt. I have a BSC in Natural sciences, 1yr HSE experience and NEBOSH.
    I am trying to find courses to learn Ontario OSHA Act, as well as any other course that will help me. Please recommend places online to learn courses, as well as any technical institutes that specifically cater to HSE education.🙏
    MUCH thanks🥰

      Hey Kudzie. Do skills assessment, CSPR and your English tests. That's the sire way to go. If you can't find work then go with a lesser job and get into your HSE later.

      He must get in touch with the Canadian Safety Professionals Board and present his qualifications, they will tell him what to do. However he has to be prepared to register with this body for full recognition to work as a safety professional.

      You can get a job without CRSP in manufacturing & other areas that are not construction or mining or heavy industry However most companies require CRSP since legislation differs in many states. With time you must get the CRSP.

      cpd is continual professional development where you take various short courses aimed at improving your expertise in HSE. Notice that HSE is divided into small topics and those small topics have courses with certificates which offer indepth knowledge. Nebosh igc is one of the best courses if you want to work in the HSE area world wide except maybe in the U.S and surroundings.

    • @One.Person
      @One.Person  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Vonne P. I do not advise you to send your original transcripts for security reasons. What employers usually do is to ask for electronic copies of the original transcripts, then if they like you, you can show them your original transcripts when you go for the interview.

      Hi. As far as I know a science background is very good esp the chemistry part which you are strong on. Kindly note that Canada is not a Nebosh IGC area, you may contact the Canadian Safety Board ( in writing) for any kind of exemption. Canada and US have OSHA but as far as I heard they now recognize Nebosh, I don't know on the ground ( companies themselves). I think you will do well in the HSE for medical areas & pharmaceutical companies or chemical manufacturing industry, try petrochemical as well. Good luck!

Depending on where you are from, you might need to do your degree qualifications assessment. Please check with BCRSP website. If you need clarification email them, they will respond.
