At 19, I lived in Hawaii and spent many nights looking out onto the crystalline turquoise waves crashing down beneath the moon and thought of the love I would one day find. Amid all the honeymooners, I set my intentions and opened my heart to the possibility of finding someone. I felt adventurous and alive and open-hearted and it allowed me to attract someone who deeply cared. It's easy to do this when you are young and yet to experience the disappointments that may come with love. But it is in that healthy space of believing and healing from all your past that you may be clear-headed and send out the right signal to attract a healthy partner that fulfills your needs. This sleep story is meant to fine tune your energy and allow you to open yourself to all the possibilities that exist for you.

I’m sure you remember 2003. Most popular music was so canned and vapid -then I heard Norah Jones’ “Don’t Know Why” driving home from my ultra-stressful alternative high school teaching job.
The world heard it.
We were starved of such beautiful, etherial, soul rich love songs. We’re there, again.
I can even see how you might book gigs and recordings via your story craft AND music performed live, like poetry slams during the Beatnik-Be Bop Jazz era, recorded at small venues.

I was listening to an author of a book about ‘Imposter Syndrome’ yesterday on NPR reminding of your introduction, Michelle. You’ve already addressed its main points in several meditations and sleepstories. So far, this I believe is your masterpiece Romantic sleepstory -unforgettable, and you even pronounce the word ‘Love’ about as sexy as I’ve ever heard! I adore your mind. You literally knock me sideways 🕊️🔥💕 and have readied my journey for finding my life’s passion partner.
I should check that out-- I do try and address it in subtle ways. We are often the main thing that gets in our own way in life. Once that gets fixed, so many things open up. I wrote this after a very healing journey to Aruba years ago.

Beautiful story! Except in my version at the end, I let my partner have her hammock and I slept on the ground and held her hand. I could never get the hang of those hammocks. I always roll right out of them like in a Three Stooges bit.

Haha! I can relate when it comes to sharing those! Although my grandfather was the master at it and there are many photos of him with me and my siblings as babies sleeping across his big belly. I'm glad he never managed to flip over with us!
