Thank you very much because my 23 yr old read this before me during our Bible study and I could not explain it to her but your breakdown is magnificent. From Hollywood, Fl I thank you and God Bless you.
1 Chronicles 21 has become a favorite of mine. There is so much to learn, and so many examples to follow in this chapter! But no matter what, through life, Follow God!!!! Thank you Pastor Paul for walking me through this great story!
Wow!!! So much I just learned of David, and Abraham and Isaac! A new favorite scripture was also taught to me... Micah 7:18 ❤️ ...."because He delighteth in Mercy."
I see God as Loving, Kind, and Forgiving.....so far in my life I never got mad at him and I have had some really hard times. Satan is the one to me......that causes pain, worry and everything bad in my life. God is Love ❤️ and helps me to get through those hard times Amen 🙏🏻
Thank you Pastor Paul. I very much enjoyed and learned from your Bible study. Thank you very much for sharing. Blessings to you and your family. All praises to The Most High.
I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for using your time to present God’s word. Sometimes, I go to sleep playing your videos. I thank God for you doing this.
"1Chronicles 21 And Satan stood up against Israel and provoked David to number Israel," I asked what the answer is about this Chapter and I automatically instead of asking the Author, I can to youtube because I was sure someone has preached and explained it. This morning I woke up...not feeling too well and asking GOD while listening to this teaching, LORD, why were you angry about the decision of counting Israel? He reminded me how the chapter began...and He in His mighty love said the decision wasn't from HIM or asked if it was okay by HIM to go through that decision. God is a jealous God and doesn't enjoy it when HIS children exclude him from our life's decisions.
I believe God was angry with David for taking a census because only He can order a census and than a ransom must be given. “When you take a census of the Israelites to count them, each one must pay the Lord a ransom for his life at the time he is counted. Then no plague will come on them when you number them." Exodus 30:12
6:35 I suspect that the concept of 'power in numbers' is not the way of the lord, so counting the army of men would not give faith in God, but in men. Another way of thinking may be that a spirit of one person could equate an army and so the spirit of one has no boundary and can be infinite just like the creator who has no number or boundary.
I have always thought it was selfish of David not to choose option 2 as options 1 and 3 obviously involved others suffering. But now I’m thinking when David said let me fall into the hand of the Lord; for great are His mercies, maybe he was thinking of the others too. If David had been overtaken by his enemies, not only would other lives be lost of his men defending him but what would the enemies have done to the women and children? Would they have ruled Israel for a period? Having enemies take over your king, especially when you have a good king, the devastation could be wide spread and horrendous. A 3 year famine would have been horrible also. So maybe, just maybe David made the right choice not just putting himself in the hand of a merciful Lord, but the others also.
I thought the sin of counting the fighting men was two fold: that it was told that after the events in Numbers a census as such would not be taken again and that the act of counting was was a vain act of seeing how strong Israel was.
Exodus 30: 11-12. 11 Then the Lord said to Moses, 12 “When you take a census of the Israelites to count them, each one must pay the Lord a ransom for his life at the time he is counted. Then no plague will come on them when you number them.
And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the Lord, nor offer burnt offerings without cost. Verse 24 1 chro. 21 reminds me of the offering that Abel provided God and the offering Cain gave which cost him nothing.
My impression of the numbering is perhaps similar to the mark of the beast where the whole world will be numbered as they take the mark. As a result those who take the mark will be plagued.
Yes Father can get upset with us. He got upset and turned the tables in the tabernacle. Why ? People didn’t even consider Him. Maybe 🤔 here He got upset because Dawid started census without seeking His kingdom first, Nothing will be added onto without seeking His kingdom. Ask and it will be given. In this case census wasn’t asked from the Kingdom and plague was given as result. Just my opinion. Compare script with script . God bless you all immensely.😇

Amen. I didn't really understand this scripture. Thanks for breaking it down.

Behold the LAMB OF GOD who TAKES AWAY THE SIN OF THE
WORLD.......
Sacrifice causes a lot of pain and discomfort...Yahshuah went through that on that on the Cross and before he was sacrificed too.
❤️
And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the Lord, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.
Verse 24 1 chro. 21 reminds me of the offering that Abel provided God and the offering Cain gave which cost him nothing.
Amen
My thoughts exactly to take option 3,rather face GOD Than men.
My impression of the numbering is perhaps similar to the mark of the beast where the whole world will be numbered as they take the mark. As a result those who take the mark will be plagued.
The threshing floor of Onan the Jebusite....the place where Abraham was to sacrifice Isaac ...the place where Jesus is crucified.....SAME PLACE
1st Chronicles: Chap 21
David making a mistake and the people paying for his mistake is an example of when Eve and Adam Disobeyed and we all suffer due to disobedience.
Why in 2 Sam. 24:1 it says God caused David to number the people and in 1 Chron. 21:1 it was Satan?
He explains this at 3:30
‘Not sure’
(A) Excellent- Thank You-mostly easy -a lot of fluff - but some excellent points
