Great video and really great idea about the air tag! I've flown several times for retreats, as well and have gone back and forth between either packing a piece of luggage with my supplies or shipping them ahead of time to the retreat location, depending on the cost.
The air tag gives me such a peace of mind! 😃 I thought about shipping my supplies too but have not tried it. It cost me $35 to check my suitcase full of supplies, I will have to look into the cost to ship just to see.
The Olden Days of (local) SB Getaways: large suitcases full of Woodies Stamp sets and punches! Yes, walls of supplies and containers blow my mind😮! I do use the retired pencil/ marker zipper cases for what blenders i may need and the same type for my embellishment envelopes too. Thankful to still have them. And I found a Tiffany Tote for the Mini that keeps my plates as well as a roll of post-it- note removable tape. Kit planning ,even local Retreats is the only way to gooo!
Thank you for this very helpful video and a peak of your retreat. The last retreat I attended with my daughter required a few hours of travel; however not air travel. I did pre planned my layouts and I was very productive. I over packed anyway, l am not sure I could fly to any retreat, but it’s good advice. I must keep in mind your advise because you are right it’s very tiresome unpacking and even worst packing it back!
I am so glad you found it helpful! I have found that strategic packing for a retreat makes a big difference in enjoying the time away and getting lots done. Your beach getaway sounds heavenly!
Hi Erin, Loved the Christmas card you sent me with Reindeer Days. The enamel effects on the wreath really added a nice touch. Awww. too bad Dave can't go with you. 😄 Wow, I had not heard about the air tags before, great tip. Thanks for everything! Happy Holidays and safe travels.
You are a super packer, that is so fabulously succinct!! An airtag is genius! But my favorite is, I love, love, love Dave in the suitcase, he is just so adorable!! :-). (Sheila G)
Love Dave! My cat loves to get into my luggage when I pack too. 😂 This was really informative! I would love to go to a scrapbook retreat at some point. This will be a handy video if I do.
Yes, that is so true, we have limited space there too. I told my hubby I need to consider the scrapbooking workspace when we eventually upgrade our old RV lol 😂
Great video with lots of good advice! Amazed at how much space you saved by using sleeves instead of cases. Thanks, too, for showing your setup at the retreat. Any tips for how many pages to pack for? I've only ever gone for a day and always pack way too much!!
I have a suggestion for you and your packing. I put my cutting blades for my paper trimmer in an empty pill container. Keeps it from accidentally cutting your bag.
Enjoyed your packing video and really interested in purchasing the stamp and die envelopes from Amazon. I have run out of room with my Stamping Up cases so this is a great idea. My question though is, do the red rubber stamps and dies fit in the envelope?
Hi Dave I wonder if Stampin up will change the stamp and die cut cases after so many makers have joined, and there's a preference for more compact sleeves.
Preparing for a crop can be daunting, I have definitely improved my process over the years. Thank you for reminding me to link the envelopes, amzn.to/3VDtJ4l
Great question! I should have thought to mention it in the video. The packed suitcase came in at 46lbs, 😃 under the limit with room to spare. It cost me $35 to check it each way paying in advance. It would have been $40 if I had paid upon arrival.

Perfect timing Erin! We rent a beach house for a month in the winter and this was so helpful in deciding what I take to scrapbook with!

Thanks for lots of great tips. I love that particular retreat location! I plan to be there in February.
Thanks for all the great tips! I'm getting ready for a Jan. retreat. This was so helpful!

This video was helpful. Loved it so much Erin especially how you plan your layouts in the notes app.
Really great ideas!
Great video and tips Erin! I'm so ready to go back to our retreat and do it all again! It was so much fun!
Me too! I love scrapbook retreats and yours was such a great time.
Great information!
This is very helpful traveling in our RV

@ BTW thank you for the beautiful Christmas card.
@ you are very welcome!

Dave says hello! I have not heard any rumors of them changing their cases. They are very nice but when you are short on space storage matters.
Packing for crops is my nemesis. Also, I don't see a link to the stamp and die envelopes...

@@CraftyConceptswithErin Thank you! I have been looking at these envelopes and wanted to make sure I was getting the recommended ones!
You always have to pack the cat!
What about weight limit for checking your bag? Is all that still under the limit?
