I was really hoping to hear Christy mention about her struggles with being identified as a real Filipina. Maybe it's a non-issue for her kasi nag Binibini na siya before and it was never brought up. Pero naman, I've never heard her speak Tagalog (or Bisaya, idk), not that yun lang ang sukatan ng pagiging Pinoy, but I wanted to hear her say something authentic and personal, something that will allow her to be more relatable sa masa sana. But we got that answer and she got that placement which now, in retrospect, I can get with.

When I was a little girl growing up in the Philippines, a school teacher called my sister and I ugly, kasi we have buck teeth and pango noses, di afford ang braces back then, fast forward nag move kami sa Canada and then I moved to the US, people or coworkers will tell me how pretty and stunning I am, but the trauma of being called “ugly” comes back and I will deny the compliments. The standard of beauty in the Philippines is ingrained with the mestiza mentality. Embrace your own, be kind. You don’t know the trauma you’re inflicting on children.

As a Filipino living in Australia, it bothers and saddens me that some of our kababayans are still associating a melanated skin tone as unattractive. These comments are absolutely disgusting and only reflects our deep rooted issue with colorism, and to a certain extent, racism. It’s really bothersome and honestly, this hinders the Filipino society from progressing.

I think what one said on discrediting the wins of MUPH winners over BBP alumna is that if people say that 'ayaw koronohan ng MUPH ang mga BBP queens' is like saying Michelle Gumabao, Katrina Dimaranan, Stacey Gabriel should have won over Rabiya, Bea and Chelsea. Which is unfair because all these winners won FAIR and SQUARE. It's just that no one from BBP (yet) managed to win it all thru the end. (Un)fortunately, the ex BBP girls were outperformed. Yun lang yun, they did not win coz they weren't the best. Simple as that.

Overall Angat pa si Ahtisa sa kanya. Yes her prelim was amazin because sa bagsak na hair style (mala naomi campbel) pero nawala yun during finals.
There was nothing new from Ahtisa, and this is that loophole that other competitors will and have taken advantage of. In my opinion at least on finals night, even Kristi did better than her. If it weren't for her massive fan base she could have dropped from the Top 5 altogether. If she's indeed bent on joining again ala MMD, then I hope she's taken enough notes to recalibrate herself for 2025.
Congratulations to our new queen ! Question is in what aspects the frontrunners went wrong. They seemed had a chance for the crown and some were placers locally and internationally. As first runnerup, Cainta cannot be given a crown because the position as first runnerup is very important if just in case the winner quits (not happening), she takes her place. Bacoor is my favorite but the stars were not aligned to her. Who knows ,she might join MU New Zealand.,,! Zambales i wish will join Miss Grand Philippines. In my opinion, there were no over the top pasarelas and advocacy in previous MU pageants ,so why the overr the top pasarelas. .

For me, sa prelim interview siya humatak ng husto sa org and judges. What's nice about it is she was simply having a conversation and everything was free flowing. Look at how she was looking at everyone while talking too. Just like any job interviews, they don't necessarily need the right answer but how you keep the conversation.
Dapat hanggang age 30 ang age limit. Kasi wala ng energy ang may edad na talaga. Ten years ago na lumalaban ang Taguig. Move on na lang, kasi hindi para sa kanya ang crown. Dapat within 5 years ka lang mag attempt ng crown. Ubos ang kayamanan mo. Madami naman way para maging successful sa buhay.
Iba po ang MUPH pageant at iba din ang basis ng pilian sa The Miss Philippines titles, not necessarily galing sa runners-up ng MUPH. Kukunin from any of the Top 10/20 ang TMP crowns.

There was nothing new from Ahtisa, and this is that loophole that other competitors will and have taken advantage of. In my opinion at least on finals night, even Kristi did better than her. If it weren't for her massive fan base she could have dropped from the Top 5 altogether. If she's indeed bent on joining again ala MMD, then I hope she's taken enough notes to recalibrate herself for 2025.

For me, sa prelim interview siya humatak ng husto sa org and judges. What's nice about it is she was simply having a conversation and everything was free flowing. Look at how she was looking at everyone while talking too. Just like any job interviews, they don't necessarily need the right answer but how you keep the conversation.
Dapat hanggang age 30 ang age limit. Kasi wala ng energy ang may edad na talaga. Ten years ago na lumalaban ang Taguig. Move on na lang, kasi hindi para sa kanya ang crown. Dapat within 5 years ka lang mag attempt ng crown. Ubos ang kayamanan mo. Madami naman way para maging successful sa buhay.
