Many of the comments here are trying to make one of them look bad/evil/guilty. The main issue in their relationship, which many people do, is this: a couple meet, one of them is very serious about having kids, and the other seriously doesn’t. If this is a matter that means so much to someone (man or woman) they SHOULD discuss it early on in the relationship, before they get emotionally invested more. Sit and talk and make sure you’re both on the same page. The main secret to a successful relationship is a shared desire for the outcome. They’re both old and experienced enough to know this.
Let's be honest, if Common is really thinking about kids, his best bet would be with a much, much younger woman that doesn't have kids already. I know Tiffany doesn't have kids, but her age alone serves a red flag on many levels.

One mistake Common keeps making is not being upfront with women he starts dating, about kids and maybe even marriage being hard "no's" for him. It's okay to not want kids. Any woman I date gets the cards laid out on the table from the beginning, and it's up to them to decide if they still wish to pursue a relationship with me...but I make it plain that I won't be changing my mind, so don't start something with me thinking you can convince me later. There's a lot of women who don't want kids as well. Granted your honesty will greatly diminish your pool of potential life partners, but at least that smaller pool will be more likely to yield something meaningful and fruitful for both of you. The dude I use to like literally told me once "We're not close yet," "I remembered you from childhood so I had to get to know you," and biggest red flag of all, he had answered an anonymous question on Tumblr and his answer referenced me and a few others, saying "my new friends are people I usually wouldn't even speak to, let alone hang out with, but I'm trying to remain positive with the new friendships." My point is anytime someone doesn't seem genuinely interested in you for who you are as a person, RUN! Some folks just want to test the waters out of curiosity, rather than genuine like/love.

Just looking at Common's history it makes no sense. It appears he enjoys the honeymoon phase but doesn't know how to sustain a healthy relationship.
