      Thanks for sharing that pdf - probably one of the clearest textual explanations of the Smiths Chart I've come across... the fog is slowly lifting - cheers! :)

    The symmetry of the four trace overlays at about time 4:30 is just so, so cool. And that's on top of the "a circle is a circle is a circle" coolness. Thanks so much for the demonstration.

    Very fun to be looking at this from a math and topology background -- circles staying the same makes intuitive sense when you think about how the Smith chart is a distortion of a normal grid!
