Perth Amboy.....I remember as a public school kid my Dad giving me $3.00 to take the 46 bus from Carteret to go to Sears Roebuck on Hobart St. (the 1960's)....and then I'd walk down Smith St towards the ferry to grab a couple of Coney Island chili dogs and then grab the bus back to Carteret (with the tool I picked up for Dad). I actually rode the old ferry to Tottenville several times. The boat was named the Orion. I have a neat picture of it that I took in the 1960's.
I haven’t been in Amboy in 30 years. Great video. My dad owned Sasala’s Tavern on State and DeKalb Avenue I think it became The Latin Love Lounge. I played football with the Taylor brothers 69-73. Thanks
I search this city in youtube because of Jon, Richie & Alec. 3 of the founding members of the legendary rock band Bon Jovi. Beatiful city though. Much love from the Philippines🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭.

My husband is Rey Eduardo, aka Boulevard. I met him in Perth Amboy back in ‘92 and we’ve been together since. We ended up moving across the bridge to Sayreville, and then to the Morgan section by the Waterfront. I remember a lot of the things you mentioned, plus the roller skating dude, the old lady who would draw and sell her pictures, playing pool in Margarita’s Lounge, the parties, and how somehow everyone knows everyone else through work, school, or relatives. It’s a city, no doubt, but people do look out for each other. I miss it and would move back.
My first town in USA! lived there went to middle and high school got my drivers licence became US citizen lol memories forever 1972 to 1985!!!

Perth Amboy is a wonderful city in New Jersey. Nice popularity in visitors
Where I was born, and where my parents are buried. Front Street and Sadowski Parkway still look wonderful.
So many memories. From 2 to 5 yrs old, in the early 80s I lived on Smith st, gray building on the right 0:16. 😢 bitter sweet.
Wow you drive right past my house. I have been following your channel for a while.
Jon Bon Jovi was born there
Vida Guerra(curvy model) was raised there after moving from Cuba
