I think the characters look better too. The indoor lighting needs to be fixed still, but overall I am happy with how they look for an early access game.
The characters look much better lately. I wasn't overly concerned about them anyway because I'm more interested in gameplay, but it's nice to see them blinking now instead of looking like zombies.
Oh I think the people in the game does look a lot better, they look more expressive now, with more details. But I have been excited since last years first reveal, and haven't really changed much, except getting a lot more excited seeing how much it has improved since not only the first trailer, but even since last month, and unlike other early access games, this one seems to really be improving the game, instead of ruining it like a few i have played recently. Heck I just got a refund on a simulation game on Steam, because there so called improvements on the game ruined it, instead of making it better, by adding things that it didn't need or just changing thing again that didn't need to be done. But Life By You doesn't look like it's going to be doing that, so far all their changes have made it better every time, so I am confident that will just keep getting better as time goes by! Can't wait until June 4th!
the game definitely needs a lot of work still, but you'd have be a bad faith actor to say that there have been no major improvements. when i watched the most recent update video, i was shocked by how much better the characters looked. they're still not great of course, but they're making progress. i have trust that by the time early access ends and 1.0 is released, life by you will look much better and lots of things will be smoothed out
I think LbY could be the best of the upcoming life sims, it's true that the visuals of the characters aren't as easy on the eyes as Paralives or Inzoi, but it's a good compromise in order for the game to run smoother and allow for more diverse cc that will still fit into the aesthetic (which are the 2 main problems I have with Inzoi and Paralives)
Do you not see the shoulders and the arms of the humans in this game, the body proportions aren't looking right like their whole anatomy needs to be fixed. Every other game even Paralives looks nice for a small team. They need to get it together, the devs for LBY, needs to fix their humans or the game will be a disaster come launch day.
@@WorldOfSimChannel They need to fix it because as a consumer i need to be sold that this is a good game idc about anything else other than the gameplay. Impressions is everything.
Characters are improved, I think the main issue is people in the videos who made/randomized the character? have produced weird proportions. there's a lot you can customize with the characters in this. which.. allows for a lot of weird proportions when just randomized. the eyes still freak me out though... i hate seeing the whites of the uper eyes when they look down like that. its unnatural and makes the character look like a psychopath. when humans look down their top eyelid usually moves down with it. to still conceal the upper part of the iris. not allowing for the whites of the upper eye to show. only time that may be present is if you widen your eyes really wide. or again.. if you are a psychopath/sociopath.
I agree regarding the proportions, and the whole proportions thing is a little strange. I dont really understand why they have built in some of the variability that they have, such as in the videos where they move the slider, and the character has such narrow shoulders that they look non human. I would class this extreme variability as a 'nice to have", rather than an essential feature, while what I would consider to be essential, that is normal default human proportions seems to be neglected. I am confused by how many of their videos have characters with strange proportions, human proportions are well known and not hard to find and emulate, too often we see ridiculous looking characters with tiny arms or strange narrow shoulders. I also agree regarding the eyes but I have to think that it cant be too difficult for them to fix it, having said that Ive been saying that for the best part of a year, but I have to think eventually the strange eye thing will get fixed
@@WorldOfSimChannel Rod mentioned eye tracking is currently one of the things being worked on he pretty much said they will be done like Sims 2. So people who loved Sims 2 like myself will be happy with the finished product.
Well your in luck they are doing a series of videos (8 of them ) now on modding, they done modding clothes last week and furnishings today Thursday 4/18/2024 and next week they are finally doing the people, which is the one I will be the most excited to see! So hopefully they will show a lot more of how the creating a character part works. But I am not surprised much that they don't really put much into the characters they use in the game, those that worked on The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 aren't very good at making Sims/characters, I think TS4 has a few different people doing them, because sometimes they do them well, and then others look like misshaped accidents/ down right mutants, lol! But same goes for a most players, since most just use randomized Sims, and at most change their hair, eys, skin tones, and clothes, maybe their traits of course, but hardly if at all change their faces and bodies! Which is why I hardly ever download peoples sims, because unless they use mods on them, they always look boring or weird, because as I said they always randomize them! But all that being said, I already figure I will be having to give all premades/townies in the game makeovers, I have done that with The Sims 2, The Sims 3 and The Sims 4, but I am very picky about how the characters look in any game like this! Unlike some people, the way the characters look in a life sim game is just as important as game play, same as objects and building, I"m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to The SIms like games, since nothing else in my life is perfect, I want at least the games I play to be perfect, lol! 😉
@@sh0ebe4nz60 is it a joke? you give me a new game and tell me: no worry you can take cc to make it good?! I know he makes sims 2 and 3, but now we are in the year 2024 and not 2004 or 2009...pffft and btw. its not only the skin but the moves, the creepy eyes
Still better than TS4 imo. I really dislike this Fortnite style they have, I'd rather have sims 2 graphics. Low poly but gets the job done really well. That's also why paralives looks great too, they aimed for something feasible but unique. Edit : I think LBY looks just average, just realized it wasn't clear with all my comparisons.
They have done a recent video recently where the humans look nothing like this. I think the problem is the change is not significant enough which why the issue is resurfacing. It would of been better for then to have scrapped and stated again.

Its very encouraging, especially this most recent video

It’s looking on par with or surpassing Sims 3 now. Beautiful work ❤️
I hope they still improve the look of the skin to make it very realistic. It looks a little bit better so far and I can't wait to play this game.
What's with the sound quality?

The anatomy can be easily fixed though, its less of an artistic thing, so Im trusting that they can
