When Todd Blanche apologized to the jury that he jumped around a bit, he basically apologized for his poor performance.
If the jury had Trump guilty on 24 counts it's now 30 after Costello's antics.
Even Giuliani said Trump did it and admitted it all. He just didn't think it was a campaign finance violation. That wasn't Trump's defense here though. “Funneled it through the law firm, and the President repaid him.” Not Cohen embezzled or scammed him.

But the six-person bipartisan agency, which requires four affirmative votes to take most official actions, including launching an investigation, deadlocked on the recommendation, as it frequently does. By voting against the recommendation, Republican Commissioners Sean Cooksey and James “Trey” Trainor effectively killed any further inquiry into Trump’s actions, despite the fact that the agency’s professional staff believed the available evidence was at least sufficient to conduct a formal investigation.
They deadlocked via partisan GQP bias. That won't help him here.
Cooksey and Trainor avoided addressing the merits of the allegations against Trump. Instead, they couched their votes as “an exercise of prosecutorial discretion” because they had “concluded that pursuing these matters further was not the best use of agency resources” given the FEC’s enforcement backlog at the time, the amount of time until the statute of limitations expired, and their belief that the Justice Department’s successful prosecution of Cohen over the hush money payment had “adequately enforced and vindicated the Commission’s interests.”
He's guilty but not worth it since Cohen got prosecuted.
Thursday would be the perfect day to take trump into custody on his numerous contempt charges for violating the gag order. He could have 4 days to think things over without distractions. A long weekend of memories, over Memorial Day, in a jail cell might just do him some good.

The Judge wants the jury to remain in the middle of the closing arguments from the prosecution and the defense as much as possible, that's why he wants both to happen within close proximity to each other.

It's not unusual for a jury to be subject to the constant objections, sidebars, and defendant and witness antics. And yes they get exhausted, it's par for the course. Don't break out the Binkys and blankets yet just because they're rubbing their eyes.
it has to be in Trump's favour to make the jury wait for a week to decide a verdict. Why would the judge do this? They will have more doubt of Trump's guilt as each day goes by

One important point which, as far as I know, has not been addressed is - if the payments to Cohen beginning in 2017 were for legal services, why did the calculations start with the number 130,000 (dollars)? A big coincidence that it was the same amount as the pay-off to Daniels. Secondly (I don't know the facts here), did Cohen provide an invoice for this, or any other amount? Did he ever provide invoices for legal services? If he didn't, why would Trump pay him, making it a not tax - deductible amount? If anyone can answer these questions, I'm interested to find out.
yea cohen was invoicing for 35k per month. got miffed at one point that it was not being paid. big surprise. awkward that trump did not claim as tax deduction. also cohen admitted to paying part of it out as reimbursement....ooops.
Given Trumps MO, rest assured he got a tax deduction...... Perhaps this may assist. ...Trump mark-up and ultimate payment to Cohen was total $420,000 (Marked-up amount), correct ! Why would Trump pay that amount for a debt of $130,000, well he had to cover Cohen's incom tax and costs. Tax Deductible expense, can also depend on how you catergorise the payment/invoice, Cohen did provide invoices as legal expenses. Let me say this if you don't think Trump funnelled the $420,00 cost back through a corpoarte entity, or had invoices categorised so they became tax deductible, well you have underestimated him............ THEREFORE, this reimbursement scam is even worse!! ... in reality the US tax payers footed the cost of a portion of the marked-up amount, example: if the corporate tax rate was 35% (in 2017) then $147,000 of the $420,0 was off-set by way of tax deductuble, so you get the gist?

@@Idlewyld While the Electoral College is a thing, it only weights votes so that WY vote 4x a CA vote. But the votes still matter. The point of invalidation is that votes are also grouped together so that some groups are more homogeneous than others. That's the real problem. So that votes in 5-8 states are the ones that actually matter the most.
