The huge brain move of releasing the part of the video that got cut off as a "part 2" instead of deleting the whole upload and reuploading it fixed, nice
Wow, you worked hard to pick it apart , but the original sounds so much brighter and dynamic. Alf's voice takes it to another level. It's a brilliant track with fantastic instrumentation and mixing. One of my all time faves. Thanks for the breakdown, very entertaining 😊
As a kid making synthpop, in the 80s with friends, we called those kinds of slappy synth snares ‘tray drops’, because they sounded like someone dropping a metal tray in a warehouse.
Have you guys ever looked at Paul Hardcastle's music. It is an absolute goldmine for old sounds electronic beats, would love if you covered it here. 19, King Tut, Eat your heart out etc. Great tracks.
Thanks for the video, Claudio Well, among other things, for the arpegiator line you didn't get it, Doctor, it's not just 3 notes, it's 6 (get an hear on the 12'' extended version, you will have it alone )
I remembered the notes of this arpeggio, it were a 8 note sequence, check with those notes I believe Bb, Db, F, back to the first Bb and then Eb, Db, C, Ab descending line. You can hear that better in some extended versions maybe. Then your sound design is well OK.
Hello, I bought your pack yesterday of "don't go" from YAZOO, it is very good but I regret that the midi files of the musical notes are not delivered with it. The 'Thriller' pack had the midi and audio files. Why not see the midi files? Could I have the midi files please? Especially in your promo video we see the midi sequences on the sequencer screen I have a midi pro one and I would have loved to send the lead midi track to the pro one. I am not a musician and cannot play the keyboard Thank you in advance for your answer. Christian
If you haven't already done so, what machines will you use to do "Twin Peaks Intro" by MR ANGELO BADALAMENTI what do you think of Italian synthesizers like GEM ELKA etc ?
A re-create von Tangerine Dream "Logos" - espacially the sound from the Minimoog lead, but without using a Minimoog. The lead sound would be enough - that would my wish :D
The ARP/ main horn part needs to be recorded with a microphone and an amplifier to get some natural air movement instead of plugging it straight into the board.
Would you make a project exactly like this, but with the couterpart hit from Yazoo - Situation? Any version would be enjoyable, just to watch how you make the replication of such a wonderful classic from Clarke & Moyet... 🤤😁🥰
I don't think it's a 3-note ascending arpeggio. I think it's an 8-step sequencer where the first half is the arpeggio (adjusted for mode during the hook) but the second half is a descending run from the 4th-3rd-2nd and to the leadnote. It's easier to hear on the 8-minute original 12-inch mix than on the Radio Edit.
Yep. I admit, I cringed when I heard a straight arpeggio but it’s really hard to hear in the single, so it was unfair of me. The long version has the sequence soloed and you can hear it clearly.
I might be wrong, I mean I'm almost certainly wrong, let's just assume I'm wrong... BUT, I still think the main lead riff is missing something, and I think that something might be some noise?
My initial thought was pink noise modulating the filter cutoff, but on further reflection it might be modulating the VCO frequency. They added some saturation, but that's not the kind of 'dirt' we're hearing in the original lead sound, it's way filthier than that.
Your version sounds good, but when I listen to it with my headphones I feel as if we're next to me, however the original version sounds far away, like a few meters away from me.
There is a brighter feel to the melody track of the original, as if the signal was split, inverted, low pass filtered and mixed back in modulated by an LFO. Good work, but not truly identical.
Doctor mix , czy możesz zr emiksować utworów Metalliki nothing else matters? " Google translator" Doctor mix, can you mix Metallica's songs nothing else matters?
How cool where the 80's ... Every other song that came out was a hit for all times. The masters at work. The joy of making music first and people buying records (no free music), so that the quality was maintained. Then came the Napster and it was all game over from that point. Free yes, but 99% garbage.

In 1982, this sounded like the future had just arrived. And Allison's soul voice was an improbable yet perfect match.
I was 12 when i heard this and was like what hell.... totally blown away.
Oh thank the lord! When pt.1 cut off, I was like omg.
Was waiting for this after the sudden end of part 1 👍😂
This is the coolest channel on TH-cam!!!! Can't get enough of these!!!

Alisson Moyet is SO great ! And thanks to Vince Clark, of course !
It’s because of the daw in which the mix was done (console vs Cubase).
Please recreate Pet Shop Boys - Always on my mind or Domino dancing! Thank
I spend so much time in front of synth menus, I really appreciate what you're doing here.
He appears to have an employee who sits in front of the menus for him; I’m jealous!
Vince: hey Claudio here you got my patterns
🤣🤣🤣🤣 You can keep my synth certainly.
Greetings from CHILE 🍷🍷🍷🍷
Vince Clark does not get enough love for all he's done

the arpeggiator sound is perfect for a trance track :D
This was really cool. And I noticed the my favorite Kaoss Pad in this video :)
Finally thanx for part two but its a liitle two short i want more more more
A fantastic watch. One of the iconic songs of the 80s. I'd love to see you do a breakdown of the Starsky & Hutch theme by Tom Scott.
Vince Clark ..proper keys head , Alison Moyet voice all her own .
Dr Mix Louis you both are amazing 🙂
This bro is magician
Love your work as always! great mix........Vince would be most impressed I am sure!

As a kid making synthpop, in the 80s with friends, we called those kinds of slappy synth snares ‘tray drops’, because they sounded like someone dropping a metal tray in a warehouse.

Dr. Cut Send me Angel, i wanna say part 3.
Please recreate No Tengo Dinero by Righeira!!!!!!!!
Bravissimo Doctor!! 💪
Sapevi che Vince Clarke è stato autore di testi e musiche per i Depeche Mode? Tra cui "Just can't get enough" 😉
Doctor. When will you do an OMD mix? Cheers
Please, please do Only You by them
Yes, Claudio! I didn't think we'd get there with the shenanigans from Part 1 lol 😂Can I ask, Has Vince been in touch? :p
Good😮❤

What happened to the Yamaha mixing desk?
It would be nice if you create your own track in Yazoo style
When part 1 ended I was like, don’t go…
So where's the recreation of the most incredible sound of the tune? That break percussion sound
The arpeggiation part nearly gave me an orgasm, quite happy to hear it both in part 1 and 2. 😀
The sequencer reconstitution is not similar here, just listen to the 12 inch for easier answer ;)
But very fun and clever, as usual doc.

Yazoo HD: 2 Albums, 4 Singles, and That Was It , th-cam.com/video/QnjvpG9nnAc/w-d-xo.html
Giorgio Moroder, Dan Lacksman y Ryuichi Sakamoto + la TR-808 = Vince Clark - Dont Go...end!
The groove was programmed, not played by Vince.
ARP 2600 + Sequential Circuits Pro-One (bass) and Roland Juno-60 (bass)
If you slow down the arpeggio tempo, choose waveform with less harmonics, maybe it will sound like Fields of Coral by V. :-)
Except...in the original track, it's not an arpeggiated sound, it's sequenced, and the sequence changes in different parts of the song.
This guy in front of Pc reminds me of MIchael Cretu 🤣
👍👋👋👋🎹♥
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

No nuage system anymore ?
Sweet! Surrounded by analog classics and he's using a DAW and plug-ins. How absurd. Sell them then man!
The plugin manufacturer is paying for the video.

The "jump the shark moment" has arrived. NEXXXXXXXXXXXXT content creator!
Yep, but that arpeggio isn't working for me, Claudio. Your ears are better than that.
