  • In this episode, Harry & Jed set out in Yew Beauty to chase some monster yellowfin tuna. We cast stickbaits and troll around and eventually struck gold! These amazing fish drive us crazy but the feeling of catching these powerful fish is just unbelievable! The biggest fish of the trip weighed in at 63kg!

    How does the saragosa handle the yellow fin and what size is that?@offshore Adventures

    • @OffshoreAdventures
      @OffshoreAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This was 10,000. Great reel for the price really did handle awesome fish! I have upgraded to the 18,000 for the higher gear ratio but the 10,000 is easily capable enough

    Hahaha stinks so much hey, but what treasures has it eaten. Ive pulled snapper, small tuna and mackerel out of shark and marlin guts.

  • @simdogg8412
    @simdogg8412 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Maybe try using singles on the lures. The hook up wluld be a lot better. Nothing wrong with that rod and reel for it

    • @OffshoreAdventures
      @OffshoreAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lost more tuna on singles than trebels, will never go back. But whatever works for the fisherman I reckon

    • @simdogg8412
      @simdogg8412 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OffshoreAdventures ah right fair enough. Why is that? I haven't caught tuna nowhere near the size of yours but the hook up on kings on singles really gets them in really hard once i get the strike

  • @bulldog1131
    @bulldog1131 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can I ask what spin reel and Rod do you use or would you recommend. I was looking at a Penn Slammer 750 IV spooled with 50lb braid. Really want to give it a go for a yellowfin on a stick bait

    • @OffshoreAdventures
      @OffshoreAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      In this video I used a Shimano Saragossa 10,000 with 50lb braid 🤙🏽

    Dude why do u guys in Australia fight your fish with your left hand? Makes no sense reeling with your dominant hand. See so many videos of guys losing big fish because their getting their ass whopped.

    😢..so sad human nature...Do you know that Yellowfin tuna fish is an endangered species and soon, thanks to you, wild fishermen, it will disappear.. #disgusting #banwildfishing 😓

    • @OffshoreAdventures
      @OffshoreAdventures  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No they aren’t. The pacific bluefin tuna is endangered if that’s what you are thinking. Yellowfin tuna are least concern as they grow fast and only live to around 5-10 years
